Alex Heat
Toejam & Earl is best played in co-op, though it can be enjoyed in single player. I have some fond memories of just screwing around and having a blast.
CorgiShinobi
I find it harder and harder to really watch Game Grumps as of late. I've actually begun to miss the Jon-Arin dynamic as it seems that over time Danny has become Arin's Yes Man. Don't get me wrong; Danny is my favorite, but I feel like his lack of gaming exposure is catching up with him. Then you have Jon's comment at SGC a few days ago where he states the worst part of his career has been the dishonest nature of his departure from Game Grumps. The fan base has this double standard I've seen, though at times I don't want to admit it because this is a show that has gotten people through tough times (at least what I've seen on the subreddit). Fans will go on about how the Grumps' lives are their own and we shouldn't bother trying to know the exact reasoning behind Jon's departure. Then the Grumps want the fans to do something, or go somewhere that isn't always Game Grumps related. Basically, if they ask us to do something, "Sure thing guys!" If we ask the Grumps something, well unless it's an AMA, "They're not your friends and they don't owe you anything!"
TornadoCreator
Oh yeah I'm sure it is Alex, there's just some things where nostalgia takes over. For me it's 'Alex Kidd in Miracle World' for the Master System... I'm fairly sure it's not even close to being as good as I remember it. As far as I remember it was one of the best most vibrant platformers ever made. Sometimes I wonder if I should leave it alone and never replay it, to preserve the 5 year olds memory of the first game he ever beat, and how it was an awesome game. Mister Jack
Don't worry, I felt the same way when I saw they were going to play Toejam & Earl. I was also thinking they were giving Decap Attack an unnecessary about of shit. It's not even a particularly awful game (also, it was a licensed game in Japan) either. Huh, I never knew that about DecapAttack. I find it interesting that back then they went to that much trouble to modify some obscure Japanese game for western audiences whereas today it feels like you practically have to drag these developers to work kicking and screaming just to get a text translation on a JRPG. I find it harder and harder to really watch Game Grumps as of late. I've actually begun to miss the Jon-Arin dynamic as it seems that over time Danny has become Arin's Yes Man. Then you have Jon's comment at SGC a few days ago where he states the worst part of his career has been the dishonest nature of his departure from Game Grumps. Whoa, what? This is the first I've heard anything about this. What's going on? Also, I have to agree about Danny. I like him and I enjoy his stories and his jokes, but he never seems willing to call Arin out on his bullshit the way Jon used to. Even if I disagreed with Jon sometimes, I just liked the fact that he was a counterbalance to Arin's frequently senseless opinions.
CorgiShinobi
Normally there's nothing amiss to the Game Grumps, which are composed of Arin Hanson (Egoraptor) and Dan Avidan (Danny Sexbang of Ninja Sex Party). There's also Steam Train, a PC oriented form of Game Grumps which has Ross (RubberNinja) featured alongside Danny and/or Arin. There's also Barry, the longtime editor of both Game Grumps and Steam Train, who will appear on an occasional show of Steam Rolled. Same goes for Arin's wife, Suzy, but her alongside Barry have a show on Polaris' website called Table Flip that focus on tabletop games. When Game Grumps started, it was just Arin and Jon Jafari (JonTron). We didn't even really have an idea who Barry was at the time, and while technically Game Grumps has been a Lets Play, it felt more like two friends getting together to have fun playing video games. Fast forward to almost a year and there's a video called Ode to Jon where Jon explains he wants to go back exclusively to his show. It's so abrupt and Danny is already the replacement along with the announcement of a new show, Steam Train. Now that was all over a year ago and things did "normalize," but we were still left in the dark about the exact reasoning because while Jon wanted to do his show, he did have a few episodes of JonTron even while he was on Game Grumps. Not many mind you, but he still talked about working on his show. There were also the rumors that stuck around from the very moment he left, and I'll never forget the night a friend of Jon's girlfriend posted on the subreddit lambasting the entire community for the comments Jon's GF received for being a possible reason for his departure from Game Grumps and heading off to New York. Except no one on the subreddit knew what the hell she was talking about. Other rumors surfaced and etc, but the exact details of those I'm not 100% on as I don't frequent the subreddit all the time anymore. However, there was a recent controversy when Suzy copyright claimed a YouTube user's parody videos. She thought they were being monetized and so forth, so people jumped on her bandwagon. The Youtuber then gave his side of the story and you come to two possible conclusions: Suzy made a big-ass mistake, or she took his videos personally and wanted them down. Suzy went on to damage control, but people were still on her ass so she snapped a bit, slammed the virtual Internet door while saying something-something this place sucks. As for Jon's recent statement, read through here: Look through the comments to find video and some of the things I've talked about.
Mister Jack
Yeesh. You know, I wanted to just accept the excuse that Jon left because he wanted to focus on his own channel, but ever since he left there's been this cloud of ambiguity and shadiness hanging over the whole thing that makes it hard for me to keep believing that there wasn't something else going on behind the scenes. Mister Jack
Jesus Christ, Arin, please stop playing Unturned. This series is terrible and the game is boring as hell to watch. Even Ross knows you should have made it a one-off. As big of a snob as you are about games, THIS is the one you decide to stick with?
