Saturnine Tenshi
I actually have that one pre-ordered, but it was supposed to release last month.
Mister Jack
Has there been any mention of this game being ported to the vita in the future?
Waldorf and Statler
main website only seems to mention Mac and Linux versions coming in the future. Maybe once he gets those out he might eventually do a Vita version I dunno. I'd say this game needs a big screen considering the clusterfuck of enemies/projectiles that can be in a room. Mister Jack
It does look interesting but I've already bought so much shit recently. Â Maybe if it goes on sale later.
Waldorf and Statler
I've bought more games this semester than I have these past 2-3 years. With Gamefly I never tend to buy games, but ever since I got my 3DS I had a crapload of backlog and newer games with a lot of replay value so it was worth it. Not to mention niche PC titles like Shadowrun and future indie/kickstarter titles.
Saturnine Tenshi
I just accidentally beat the demo. :< Apparently killing the first boss concludes your time in the castle. I just spammed the axe throw ability with an archmage.
Waldorf and Statler
Be glad he let you even get to the first boss, that's quite a sizable amount of playtime considering you can take your sweet time. Does he block off other areas like the forest or the underground?
Saturnine Tenshi
I never found them. The demo does explicitly say there's content missing. It's a pre-release version of the game.
Waldorf and Statler
Just beat the Maya boss [Ponce de Leon]. Took me about 5-6 heroes. And it wasn't even because he's hard, I was 6-7 levels above him [to compare]. If you thought the little floating skulls of the previous boss were bad Mal, this one leaves a trail of fire wherever he fucking floats. Not to mention the purple spiked balls are floating in every possible direction of this wide open room. So combine fire all over the screen+spiked balls and you are seeing one tough boss battle where the tough shit isn't the boss.  Funny enough beat him with a Paladin over a Barbarian Queen [the extra damage per hit makes all the difference  edit: Also I am having the worst fucking luck finding armor and better swords. I only recently got the ranger chest and helmet, and I'm already about to head into the catacombs. There's literally more than 1/2 of squares still open. I wish there was something I could do to unlock armor/weapons but it's just luck of the draw. Mal
I killed him last night. Once you get a pattern going, Sir Ponce isn't that hard (Though a barbarian helps). Clockwise circle, more or less. Sure sometimes I had to drop down to the fiery balls filled depths but it was fine since I played Touhou so its all good! Â WaS, wait till you get the Guardian cape. I squealed like a child when I saw it in the smith's place. Its a fair amount of defense. Single digit damage on myself is a beautiful thing to see. Mr. GOH!
I hate Ponce de Leon so much. I'm just too depleted when I get there.
Waldorf and Statler
GOH: Honestly I would suggest taking the 70% gold by locking down the castle and going straight to him. You might not get as much gold from beating him but that sure beats having to roam around the castle. Me personally I have runes that give me life when I kill so once I find the boss I want I tend to transport to the regular castle and kill the weaker enemies until my life is recharged. Â And Mal fuck you. I have the shittiest of capes that give everything BUT defense.
Mr. GOH!
I've done that before. But I feel like the only way I can have enough HP to defeat him is if I use a lich king or queen, and they suck if you don't build them up. Bah, I guess I'd just better learn the pattern and pattern attack ol' poncey to death. Edited July 5, 2013 by Mr. GOH!
Waldorf and Statler
imho the Barbarian or the paladin are the best option. Â Paladin because he has a decent amount of damage, Barbarian King because I think the Lich might do a bit more damage but the BK has more life. Plus the Fas-rah-doo scream actually remove the fires in your immediate vicinity if you HAVE to.
Mr. GOH!
Killed Ponce with a barb, now it's time to descend into the depths.
Waldorf and Statler
I wouldn't recommend heading down there until you have decent armor and defense stats. The issue is that I've done a shitload of runs already and never get fucking better armor. I can go through 3 of the 4 castle areas now and survive with my skills but going into the lower area/catacombs still is too dangerous seeing how everything is doing 40+ damage and I don't do enough damage yet or have enough defense yet. Â I think the flaw of the game is not giving you the option to buy the armor yourself for a premium over having to find the blueprints since they're so randomly spawned
Mister Jack
This game is on sale right now...I'm tempted, and yet the steam veteran in me is telling me to hold out in hopes of a flash sale.
Waldorf and Statler
it's worth it. I don't know if you'll get the 50-75% off you people are waiting for, it's a relatively new game.
Mister Jack
I had the same thought, and yet I know if I buy it now and it gets a bigger discount tomorrow I'll be super annoyed.
Waldorf and Statler
well no rush. Like I told Saturnine, worst comes to worst if you miss this deal but still REALLY want to play it you'll only have to pay an extra 2-3 bucks Edited July 12, 2013 by Waldorf And Statler
Mister Jack
Worst case scenario I'll buy it for the regular discount on the last day of the sale. Â I intend to get it either way.
CorgiShinobi
I got it, but even my laptop has trouble keeping a decent framerate, so I'll probably hold off playing more until my desktop is finished. I just have to wait for my GPU to be in stock.
Mister Jack
Really? Â A game like that taxes your GPU?
Waldorf and Statler
Have you tried restarting your computer? Sometimes after I haven't restarted my computer for a while games get laggy as shit and restarting does the trick. The first time I played it I thought my laptop couldnt handle it, but then I did that and it worked.
CorgiShinobi
It's weird because it'll play smooth for a while, but then get slowed down which throws off my attacks and three of my deaths have felt cheap because of the drop in framerate. I could try something out real quick, but my laptop has never been a graphical powerhouse. For example, the open environment segments of Half Life 2 lag a bit, and that's a game from 2004.
