TheMightyEthan
We didn't have an Avengers thread, and all the movies (and soon to be TV show) are so interconnected anyway I thought it would be good to just make a catch-all thread for them. deanb
The soon to be TV Show already has a thread as a heads up for anyone that might stumble in here. But yeah, feel free to post Avengery stuff.

Mister Jack
I would've probably put Captain America in the number 2 spot myself. Â I still really liked Iron Man 3 but you-know-what still gets under my skin even though I try not to let it.
Strangelove
My list.  1. Avengers 2. Captain America 3. Iron Man 4. Thor 5. Iron Man 3 6. Iron Man 2 7. Incredible Hulk

Strangelove
I actually don't even remember any of the Hulk movies. Wish theyd make another one.
TheMightyEthan
I never saw the first one, but the one with the fight club guy (Edward Norton?) was pretty good. Hell, even three lowest one on my list, iron man 2, was decent.
Hot Heart
Of the ones I've seen... Â 1. The Avengers 2. Iron Man 3. Iron Man 3 4. Thor
danielpholt
I always think the Marvel films a little lacking for me. There's no danger, no real suspense. I guess thats what they're going for though.  My top 5 though; in no specific order  The Avengers Iron Man Thor
deanb
 Here's me thinking it'd be a kind of flash back kind of thing. Kind of disappointing it wouldn't be. So far looks a bit like an Agent's of SHIELD episode with a really big budget.  Also he  looked like Human Torch at the start, would have thought someone in costume would have picked up to make sure he didn't look like another Marvel character. All they needed to do was keep the slicked over 40's hair, instead of the cropped look, and make sure his suit doesn't go a certain shadow of fantastic blue. Strangelove
Dont care much for the new blue and white/gray suit. Other than that it looks good. If anything, its a bit too vague to judge the story. Edited October 24, 2013 by Strangelove
Hot Heart
What are you on about, vague? There are explosions and srs dialogues!
deanb
Well I guess there is some vagueness, maybe it is set during his WWII stint against Hydra. It's always possible that a helicarrier could be in operation then. And depending on the source so was Nick Fury.

It's always possible that a helicarrier could be in operation then. And depending on the source so was Nick Fury. Â It follows The Winter Solider storyline from the comics (written by Brubaker) which I don't recommend looking up if you really don't know anything about it. Set in current times. The movie might throw in HYDRA as an enemy or something to keep it interesting besides The Winter Soldier villain. Â Brubaker is a great writer and this is considered one of the best storylines so hopefully they do a good job with it in the movie. Then again, Iron Man 3 was based on one of the best Iron Man runs (Extremis by Warren Ellis), and people don't seem to rave about that... though they do throw in a bunch of extra shit like Mandarin. TCP
God dammit that trailer was good. I like seeing someone like Falcon in there, it'd be cool if he shows up in Avengers 2. We need more black people in the MCU, besides Nick Fury.
TCP
Ready for more Marvel? I hope so. Marvel's developing, for Netflix, four TV shows; Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones. Then, they will team all four of those characters up and do a Defenders TV show. This is the greatest news ever. Source here.
TheMightyEthan
Isn't Marvel owned by Disney? Â I'm surprised they'd make shows for Netflix rather than ABC.
Strangelove
Shouldnt they worry about the tv show they have now? It's not perfect.
TheMightyEthan
It's pretty damn good for a first season though.
TCP
Yeah, last episode was really good. I felt episode 2 - 3 were maybe lacking but each episode has gotten better since then. And my understanding this is being produced by ABC Television as well, so I'd imagine they probably just didn't want 6 of their prime time TV shows to be taken up by Marvel stuff. Plus being off network TV gives them a little bit more flexibility in terms of violence, which would suit these characters well.

I remember like... maybe one or two scenes?
