Mr. GOH!
The only way an AoS character is making it into the movies is if it's Coulson or as a very, very quick cameo, perhaps only in the background or with one or two lines. It's more likely one of the Netflix characters shows up briefly, or participates in a big action scene in a minor way.
Mister Jack
I finally got around to finishing Jessica Jones. Boy was this one a different flavor from all the other Marvel shows. I wouldn't say it's better than Daredevil like I've heard others claiming, but it's still pretty good. The villain was truly vile and I was invested in seeing him go down, and most of the other characters were pretty enjoyable. Except for Robyn. Fuck that girl. If I have one main complaint, it's that sometimes it felt like the story dragged on just because of really stupid decisions that the "good guys" were making, thus giving advantages to the villain that they really should have known better than to give him. I'd still give it, I dunno, a solid B+.
deanb
Wrapped up Daredevil, it's pretty damn sweet. Looking forward to more Marvel-Netflix shows in future. Much more solid I think in structure than Jones, which as Jack noted above did have a lot of "Evil always triumph cos good is dumb". Good character development too, and introspection n such for the good guys. Fisk was great, he was really sincere in his ambitions, right up until the end with his Samaritan story where I think was the turning point to him becoming Kingpin. I think if they'd fucked up Fisk, it would have all fallen apart so hooray to him.

deanb
Crossbones, as set up in Winter Soldier. Also Martin Freeman is in it playing a sort of special diplomat person and likely the "in" for Black Panther. Also I've got Empire on my door step this morning so I'll read that and maybe fill out some more bits n bobs like I totally forgot to do with BvS

Mister Jack
Welp, now people are complaining that Netflix cast a white actor to play Iron Fist instead of an asian-american actor. People have already pointed out that 1) the character of Daniel Rand is already white in the comic and 2) casting an asian as a martial arts superhero would be MORE offensive, but that has done nothing to make this controversy go away. I want off of this ride. I've had enough. Edited March 3, 2016 by Mister Jack

CorgiShinobi
Not sure about newer version of... Spidey. It's giving me flashbacks to the Green Lantern CGI spandex. Not to mention the monotone "Hey Everyone" line. But at the same time, Spider-Man Swings Into Battle!
TCP
Yeah they have a few more months to work on the CGI, a lot of times this sort of stuff isn't a 100% till right before release. Still, I liked this new suit. Very Ultimate Spider-Man, you can even see the refills for his webshooters on his belt. Moving eyes is great, especially with the camera shutter sound effect. It's just great to see Spider-Man with The Avengers. What a time to be alive!

TheMightyEthan
I like the "Hey everyone" because it's so casual, which I'm sure is what they were going for. Question though: how does Spidey narrow the eyes of his mask?
Mr. GOH!
It's because he's not really Spidey; he's Deadpool!I kid. He's a teenager with superpowers who invented what appears to be a revolutionary and easy-to-make synthetic material; who cares how his costume eyes narrow and widen?
TCP
His eyes moving is mechanical, you can hear it. I mean, obviously it was done via CGI but in the canon of the movie, mechanical. Maybe Tony helps him improve his outfit?? Edited March 10, 2016 by The Cowboy Poet
TheMightyEthan
Well right, I wasn't asking how the special effect was done, I was asking for the in-universe explanation. So it's mechanical, that raises my next question: why?
deanb
Have you guys not read Civil War? He's Iron Mans little lab partner, and in return gets an Iron Spider suit. Which Tony uses to betray Spider-Man cos it pulls out lots of data which reveals the the spider-sense (which spider-man otherwise keeps secret). Of course this looks nothing like the Iron Spider suit mind, but can stll hav similar roots.
TheMightyEthan
I don't read comics. Comics are for babies. I prefer video games and super hero movies.
CorgiShinobi
I wouldn't go so far as to say it's because of the Iron Spider suit. Rather, because Spider-Man's cloth mask in most of his comics (and multiple animated series) has always been able to portray emotion with the eyes changing shape. That's not realistic, but we find it more natural that when Spidey is shocked and cries out in anguish, instead of looking at a deadpan mask, the eyes widen and narrow from their original shape.
TCP
These movies have very little to do with the comic equivalent, look no further than Age of Ultron which, besides having Ultron as the villain, had nothing to do with the comic story of the same name. So just because something happened in the comics, doesn't mean that's what'll happen here. Well right, I wasn't asking how the special effect was done, I was asking for the in-universe explanation. So it's mechanical, that raises my next question: why? Perhaps it allows him to zoom in to help him with aiming his web during web slinging?? Mr. GOH!
I still cannot get over how much DD makes of Hell's Kitchen as a working-class neighborhood when, in reality, it's super fucking trendy and expensive. I also am contsantly amused by the fact that all of the court exterior scenes (and a good number of the hallway scenes) were shot at the Bronx courthouse, even though the characters act like it's in Manhattan. Doesn't Marvel realize everyone has seen Law and Order and knows what the Manhattan courts look like? Also, everything having to do with lawyering and the law and trials is cartoonishly bizarre and unreal, but I don't expect anything else from a superhero show. It's just jarring after watching the much more realistic (although still not perfect) portrayal of legal work in Better Call Saul.
