toxicitizen
So, over the past week Frictional Games have been teasing their next game over at www.somasystems.org First there was these two creepy live-action teasers Now there's some gameplay, which actually doesn't tell you much more than the teasers but eh. I'm really loving the scifi theme they've got going. Not enough proper scifi horror in games. Coming to PC and PS4 according to the gameplay teaser. Thursday Next
Gods damn Sony! I'm already getting the PS4, you don't *have* to keep throwing more reasons to buy it at me.
TheMightyEthan
But it's nice that they are. It's never fun to get new hardware and then have a dearth of software to run on it. *coughWiiUcough*
toxicitizen
Still not a whole lot of information but they released a new "trailer" showing off some of the environments.
Cinder
Their new engine is looking really good. I wish they'd do a little more to show it off in these trailers (though i suppose Upsilon kind of does).
SomTervo
At the same time, though, it's really nice that they're not showing off the new engine really overtly. Focusing on what you're seeing rather than how you're seeing it is really refreshing. The work these guys are doing on narrative theories for gaming is quite something. The game should remain independent of them showing off their fancy new engine. I'm just personally very interested in what they've improved, as are the community of Amnesia custom story creators/players I'm sure. You don't get a lot of small indie studios (in this case formerly small) making their own engines and making good games with them is all.
