  1. 1. Who is buying?

    • Definitely
    • When the GOTY is out
    • Depends if it's on sale
    • Maybe one day
    • Probably not.
  2. 2. What version?

i really need to find more dragon shouts. I've killed 7 dragons total man, and I don't wanna waste it on that "confuse the enemy with a random shout" shout. That'll be useful when I'm a sneaky character but until then no thx.

The only shouts I've actually spent souls on has been Whirlwind Sprint, Frost Breath, and Fire Breath. Dragonrend is incredibly useful, but you just get that from the main quest (and with zero souls needed).

Personally I've not bothered with them because the companions in Skyrim seem much more underdeveloped than they were in New Vegas. I never bothered with them in Fallout 3 either. I guess maybe that's something Bethesda kinda suck at?

New Vegas gave you this and it was awesomely handy:

Even if my laptop doesn't make this the "prettiest" game I have, I have to say I would be hogging the common area's HDTV if I went PS3. I had my first crash (game) and I'm thinking that's because after 5 hours of gameplay, my laptop got a little toasty.

Gotta say, probably my one accomplishment for tonight was killing two mammoths while I was at lvl. 6 (arrows and lightning) and running away from the giant.

I began playing with the wired 360 controller I have and I think I might stick with it. Is that not p cool?

The interface suits playing with a controller. The only real problem is the lack of precision when targeting. My firebolts are all over the place, and I keep hitting my companion too...

But I still prefer it.

Oh and New Vegas had the wheel probably because it was one of Obsidian's improvements and not really Bethesda's... Still, they could have added it in...

http://www.pcgamer.c...r-thanksgiving/ - patch after thanksgiving.

edit:

A few folks don't seem to know this

  • Fire magic = increased damage including lingering damage after
  • Ice magic = attacks both damage and stamina and slows down on some too
  • Lightning magic = attacks both damage and magicka.

So up against close range melee guys you want to swap between fire n ice, against mages you want lightning attacks.

Even if you're not a mage class you can use enchanted weapons to similar effect.

Every kid I've come across, minus that one Battle-Born boy, has been a spoiled/rude brat.

I can see the worth in this mod.

Yeah, nearly all of them have given me shit, or have acted like whining little twerps. "People don't want to be sword" but I don't care; I'll sword every last one of them that says I'm just the Jarl's trained pet. I am NO ONE'S pet. NO ONE.

You should have killed Braith instead... annoying little kid...

Although after doing her miniquest with the boy she suddenly turned nice... for a short while...

Not my picture. If you check the link there's a great image of a finisher, but it doesn't get the point across as well that it's one of the kids.

Only kid I've found that's half decent isn't a kid. After all she is only a little girl.

It's just that I played tag with that girl on your picture (yeah I realized it probably wasn't your screencap anyway)... It was fun!

By the way, I've only been to Whiterun and Winterhold, but where is the best place to buy a house? A nice house. In Oblivion, I preferred the one in Skingrad, it's huge, and it's in a nice city (huge city, with city walls). Is there something like it in Skyrim?

Hopefully, it also has multiple chests, or at least I can buy more, so I can group them by category...

Markath is the dwarf town yeah? If so that's a nice house, though I've yet to do a move from my main abode in Whiterun. I've got the Solitude home too. Bit too big for my liking. Handy position though.

@Duke: I've seen a few issues with "game breaking" enchantments and alchemy tweaks. One I'm aiming for that I've seen is a leather jacket that reduced Destruction spell cost by 100%. I can be the Oprah of Firebolts. "you get a firebolt, you get a firebolt, everyone gets firebolts!!"
