MasterDex
A weapon with soul trap. Then just pick up or purchase all the lightest gear you can find. I should also point out that The Lovers Stone will increase skill advancement rate by 15%. That's basically how I've been going about it but it still seems a lot slower than the smithing to level up in. Ah well, I'm half-way there! I may start going through some of the main quests though. I'm nearly level 40 and havne't got even a third of the main quest done.
deanb
I've got a bunch of soul-tap weapons throughout my time. Been generally smithing and enchanting at the same time. Smith items, enchant with petty n lesser soul gems. Usually a mix of 2% magicka regen rings, fire daggers with 5 charges etc.. Occasionally use my black star to craft something a bit stronger (mainly making higher level smithing/alchemy fortifying gear. Dunno if there's an enchanting fortifying skill. Is a potion though, can't make that yet though) When I'm maxed out on enchants gonna burn through my grand n black soul gems on the double enchants skill. Oh in other news last night I both started a new dude. An old warrior orc, happy to smash anything to bits should he get paid. I really enjoyed making an orc cos I have no pre-conceived notion of what looks weird unlike with making human-like faces. I say smash stuff to bits, my original aim of being a two handed dude have fallen a bit to the way side since I've found having a sword n sheild much nicer. Occasionally an axe (my axe of Whiterun has soul-tap this time around). My magic use is limited to defensive spells, like healing n wards, and the occasionally fury. Oh n flames for the oil patches I guess. I am struggling a bit to break out of using magic all the time though. Got to using a bow though. Oh this time I'm also siding with the Imperials. Also came across this bug which meant having to be executed a few times: http://steamcommunity.com/id/deanbmmv/screenshot/613844102340579746
Saturnine Tenshi
The 100 enchanting skill allows for two enchantments per item. The first increases the power of your enchantments by 20% per rank at five ranks. The middle and left lines are similar skills that fortify enchanting while the right line has something to do with soul trapping and filling your weapon's magick bar. I never went into that, so I'm not certain.

I am avoiding it because I don't want the game to end just yet!
Saturnine Tenshi
Well, the game doesn't end when you finish the main quest. So you needn't worry about that.
deanb
I'd strongly suggest that at the very least everyone go to the Greybeards first time around. They complete one of your shouts as well as give you a new one that's very handy for dungeons. Also as I've mentioned before much like going to Kvatch turns on all the Oblivion gates (and going to Mythic Dawn shrine turns on even more), if you don't go to Whiterun (or at least don't speak to the Jarl) then you'll never turn on the dragons. deanb
http://pressxordie.com/2011/12/02/roundtable-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/ Boom, roundtable. Shorter than the Deus Ex one, and I think we're slowly getting the formula down to pat.
Pirandello
Is there any fix for the backwars-flying ass-dragon? I'm pretty much off of Skyrim until they fix that. I like being able to kill dragons. And not having them fly around as if they were hopped up on crack and caffeine.
deanb
There's nothing yet, which is bemusing as they pretty much stated the other day that while they're restricted in frequency of patches on console due to the certifaction process, they can patch whenever they feel like on PC. That was 4 days ago.
Connorrrr
I've not had the backwards Dragon problem yet at all... In fact, the patch did nothing but good things for me... Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
Pirandello
I've not had the backwards Dragon problem yet at all... In fact, the patch did nothing but good things for me... Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. The backwards dragon is the only problem I have. It prevents them from landing on the ground because they get all jittery while flying in the air. They sometimes like to swoop in low for a fire breath strafing run, but they just won't land. And I like being able to kill dragons.

Waldorf and Statler
So I tried killing a backwards flying dragon. It would randomly get stuck in a tree and have spasms like a possessed little girl, so i shot some magic at it to kill it. Oh my god. Worst mistake ever. Not only is it a magical immortal dragon, my game lacked like a motherfucker. Also my current character can't join the dark brotherhood since the quest won't fucking appear no matter what I do, and I already killed the person you're supposed to kill. fucking fantastic. glitchy games are fun, when the glitches don't take away from the experience. Saturnine Tenshi
I did some things in Skyrim. Some things. Edited December 6, 2011 by Saturnine Tenshi

deanb
I'm bummed that the loading screen tips only tell you of the "well-rested" perk going after you become a werewolf.
Saturnine Tenshi
Yeah. There were also five dragons flying through Dragonsreach. It was weird because they'd jet past and sweep NPCs across the floor.
Waldorf and Statler
I have yet to see a dragon sweep somebody.
Saturnine Tenshi
It's a thing that happens. Because they're spawned inside an instanced room, they fly through the floor.
Waldorf and Statler
I need a place to vent. I'm playing in expert. FUCK. MASTER NECROMANCERS THOSE GOD DAMN CHEAP MOTHERFUCKING BASTARDS. Vargras
I'm bummed that the loading screen tips only tell you of the "well-rested" perk going after you become a werewolf. Complete disease immunity is totally worth it, though.
deanb
Yeah it was a while until I went "oh wait, why am I hoarding my Cure Disease potions?" Ice storm is pretty terrible.
Saturnine Tenshi
Heh. I must have used Ice Storm more than any other spell.
madbassman39
is there a hard cap on earning perks? I heard it was lvl 50 for perks, but is this true or can you still earn perks beyond 50?
Johnny
Ice Storm... terrible? It's my go-to spell against clusters of melee enemies and stuff that is weak against frost. Now, I'll tell you what IS terrible. Blizzard. It's AWFUL.
