Waldorf and Statler
Concerning the difficulty of the game this isn't a matter of a certain group of friends agreeing as it is observing evidence mate. Why my friend in adept can fight the same dragon, with my same armor, same weapon with the same one-handed sword skill, and kill it within 2-3 powerful strikes while only getting damaged a fraction of what I'm getting is extremely suspicious. Maybe he has a heavy armor skill I don't, but unless there's one I missed I don't see that particular evidence. right here I really can't make sense of that analogy, since both instances are complaining for the sake of complaining. And the former is due to a choice made by the end-user. "I think I'll turn the difficulty up. There are some hard foes. What the hell is this?" It seems I'm either reading too much into it or cannot comprehend what you are implying, but from just reading it seems that you are implying I am again complaining about every difficult creature in this game. Pray-tell how come is it I've had no problem with any other "master" anything besides necromancers? Everything that has been intended as an enemy above all enemies I've been able to find a strategy to beat. Master Necromancers require me to let go of any tactic and simply rush to them, avoiding their flurry of spells like motherfucking Neo since getting hit by one slows you down, and pray to god I can stagger him. Nobody is arguing they're broken, but unless they're meant to be the freaking deathclaws of this game I don't see why they have to be so fucking high level compared to every other dungeon-enemy. When it's a mission's character, with an actual name instead of a generic title I understand the reasoning. I haven't beaten the Azura's Star quest because this is one of those instances where I need to level up. It SOUNDS to you like I am complaining there is an enemy I cannot steamroll because you didn't understand my predicament. I could fix what I'm complaining about by switching the difficulty, but again you're trying to justify that we shouldn't bitch at all. I clearly said I needed a place to vent at the beginning, others joined in and agreed on the topic. And I can see you disagree and have already explained you don't agree with bitching, well good for you. I'm not giving the game the satisfaction of me lowering the difficulty when I haven't had to so far, every other generic enemy I've come across I've been able to handle after a couple of tries. You play it that way you want, let me vent out my anger and continue playing it the way I want.
Saturnine Tenshi
I'm impartial when it comes to bitching, mind you. Bitch all you want. I'll give a longer reply, but since it seems you're only extracting what you want from my posts, I'll continue Terraria. Edit: Wife is taking some time getting down this helevator. Maybe I came off a bit too contentious(and I felt that way with this post). Bitching is one thing. Laborious enemies immediately being broken(You don't have to use the exact word, and it was mostly Dean who suggested such a thing. As I said, it wasn't just a response to you, Waldorf.) is another. Yes, I disagree, and yes, I'm okay with that. Sorry if I've bothered you. Wasn't the intention, but it happens. Waldorf and Statler
Why were you quoting the bitching statement and said I'm only taking what I want from your argument when I even reference that specific quote at the end? I understood you didn't care about bitching, hence why the ending was basically "you do what you wanna do, I'll do what I want to do"
Saturnine Tenshi
And I can see you disagree and have already explained you don't agree with bitching, well good for you. That. But whatever. Complain on. I think I just took the initial replies in the wrong way, and that's my fault. Seemed to me like Dean was being a ninnyhammer. And that just blemished everything around it. But now that I read it again, I could have been wrong.
Waldorf and Statler
Nobody is wrong. It was just a series of misunderstandings. I wasn't even 100% serious until these last two posts.
deanb
http://www.vg247.com/2011/12/07/bethesda-debunks-obsidian-devs-skyrim-ps3-lag-theory/ So Obsidian lead dev (as in F:NV) said the Skyrim PS3 stuff was a known issue. Pete Hines, Bethesda PR, sez this isn't the case as they fixed the memory management issue with Creation Engine. I'm pretty fucking sure they didn't or this wouldn't need to be brought up due to Skyrim PS3 being fucked. Unless they fixed the old issue n brought in a new one. TheRevanchist
Fucking Elves. But, seriously, Obsidian has not done a project that hasn't been buggy on any system. They can write a great story, but are horrible with quality control. And I love Obsidian. Edited December 8, 2011 by TheRevanchist

deanb
I'd give them some credit with this one. If it's a known bug with Gamebryo on PS3 it's a bit shameful for either Bethesda to let it carry on through to Creation Engine, or to stamp it out and bring in something equally bad. TheRevanchist
Yeah, my save file is about 4 megs right now (it's early still, only level 8). So, I haven't hit the major lag I am supposed to hit. As slow as I play, I should get there about the time Bethesda figures out a solution to download. ETA: Early January. TheMightyEthan
From what I understand about the nature of the bug it stems from the PS3's divided memory pool and the only way to "fix" it is just to not release it on PS3. Johnny
This is stupid. I went and locked at the guy's formspring where he was talking about the engine. He was talking about Fallout: New Vegas and never mentioned Skyrim. The connection to Skyrim was invented out of the air by this writer on vg247

TheRevanchist
This is what Bethesda put on their blog: "While the 1.2 update fixed the long-term play issues for most PS3 users, we are aware that is not the case for some. We’ve been reaching out to a number of those users to collect save games, so we can take a look at their specific issues. Right now we know it’s not one thing, but a combination of smaller ones that some folks are seeing, but others are not. Some seem to be the PS3 autosaving in the background (you can turn that off), some may be SPU AI updates, and some may relate to dynamic system memory allocation." For what it's worth. I'm having fun playing, so I can't complain. Until the bugs start, then I'll complain.
madbassman39
I read that to fix the ps3 slowdown issues you have to delete the game data. Not the saved games, its got its own category. Its worth a shot I guess.

Eleven
In other news... My 2nd marriage in Skyrim. I had no time to change to a suit. In attendance was Mikael from Whiterun, Lydia, Jordis the Sword-Maiden, dark-elf lady (forgot her name, I think she was the one with the dog), and some old guy I seriously cannot remember. Maybe he's one of Ysolda's friends. Anyway... I initially married Camilla Valerius. I am a Breton, so might as well marry another foreigner in Skyrim. Reason I needed another marriage was that I've done some stupid things. Like sold her cooking to herself, (so now she doesn't cook for me anymore!), and also disenchanted my Ring of Matrimony (d'oh!). Also killed Faendal because he keeps visiting her in my home, and dumped the body in the cave near the Sleeping Tree. Also, the woman doesn't sleep, and spends all her time on the alchemy table. So through the power of wiki and console commands, I "divorced" her by killing her in my home, resurrected her (also improving her disposition toward me, only fair as I did help them with the claw), and sent her on her way back to her brother. Sadly, Ysolda still won't cook for me... Edited December 9, 2011 by elev3n

Waldorf and Statler
You're lucky. I have the 360 version and wish I could remarry. Either Aela or any of the god damn hot waitresses in the game. There's even one waitress who expresses that she has a crush on you but they didn't make her an option. TheRevanchist
I'm just trying to make it back to Whiterun. But, every friggin 5 minutes I'm sidetracked. Last night, I was killed by a dragon at least 10 times. But, I was taking it as a learning experience and kept on until I killed it. I'm at Level 9 still, so I'm still way early in the game. So, I finally kill it. It catches fire and lands on top of me. I die. I reload and kill it again. This time, I kill it, but get killed by a skeleton warrior since I was left weak after the battle. Last scenario one more time. This time, I kill the dragon, kill the skeleton warriors. Forget to save! Get killed by some tough guy at the top of the mountain. Go back, kill the dragon and the skeleton warriors and save. That was not a fun time, but I now know how to better kill a dragon. #ElderWorldProblems

Killing Faendal because he keeps visiting her was the best part! Faendal and I just hang out and hunt together when I'm in the mood to upgrade my smithing. I don't like the look of ebony armor, nor dwarven armor, nor Dragon Bone Armor, nor Orcish Armor. Infact the only armor I like is the steel armor. So my goal is to upgrade my steel armor so its better than the Ebony armor I'm working right now. Is this a silly idea? Probably, but I'm playing in 3rd person, hadn't upgraded any armor (forgot you could do that) and have no real intention on putting perks into my smithing beyond the steel perk and enhancing enchanted armor/weapons.
