  1. 1. Who is buying?

    • Definitely
    • When the GOTY is out
    • Depends if it's on sale
    • Maybe one day
    • Probably not.

Had this pointed out to me since I'm now starting a fresh game. Didn't want to have to play the start all over again, got in a couple other tweaks:

http://skyrimgems.com/

So got Another Life, Maps with road n borders, SkyUI, no shop delay, and I think something else. Didn't get too many, just refinements here n there. Some ini tweaks too. So still mostly vanilla. Might one day play it all modded up to the eyeballs. I was mulling over "Rebuild Helghan" but it seemed like it clashed with Another Life. And I can't see myself bothering too much with it.

The whole idea behind the Play-Create-Share initiative is players creating and providing the content to each other, so it's not /that/ far removed from things they've already done. You don't necessarily have to monetize the player content itself if you use it as an enticement for people to buy the software.

The joy of console commands is you can just resurrect someone. Which Dawnguard would drive me batty on otherwise. I can only assume it's gruelling torture to have that DLC on consoles cos the inability to revive all the people vampires kill in towns would just be game breaking.

Also TCP I can still see that's a Kotaku link :P

I almost started the game over when I found out my wife had died in Whiterun. Ain't no shame in the game.

NO NO NO! The beauty of Skyrim is your followers dying and actually being sad about it! I lost Lydia in my most recent play through while exploring a cave. I was sad, because that means she had to have burned to death!

Yeah at first I just rolled back a save, but once it got to the point of me going to sell something, looking around the shop for the shopkeeper and then later stumbling upon their corpse in the bushes I realised resurrect was my only option. If they become a thrall and turn to ash it get's a bit trickier, have to jump on UESP and get their ID and mess about with stuff I can't quite remember off the top of my head.
