FMW
Castlevania Lords of Shadow is a WEIRD game guys. It's good... but only in execution? The platforming works well, but is largely automated and shallow. The enemies are bland, but the combat mechanics are fun. The writing is almost offensively bad, but the voices delivering those lines are REALLY good. The art direction is fucking fantastic, but the actual imagery being explored is the MOST cliche video game content (abandoned ruins, werewolves, vampires, castles, etc.) There are probably too many quick time events, but that's mitigated because a lot of them don't care what button you press. It's just "press any face button during the timing window" and that's not such an issue for me. I continue to play through it to see the sights and hear the sounds. It's SUPER long, there's a ton of content. I may not know for sure whether I overall like this game or not until I'm completely done.
toxicitizen
All I will say is this: once you finish it, leave it at that. You might be tempted to play the DLC. Don't. The first pack is alright but it's a two-part story and the second one is absolutely horrendous and will end the experience with one of the shittiest, most frustrating and horribly designed boss fights in recent memory. Save yourself the frustration and just pretend they don't exist. Or youtube it. You won't hear me suggesting the latter very often but in this case it's completely justified. FMW
Well I got the new PC version so all the DLC is included. So I'll at least give it a shot. I'm rubbish at action games though so I'm not above cheating and watching the ending movie if I need to.
Waldorf and Statler
Man I completely forgot this game was current gen. If my lappie can't handle it even on low, I might not be able to play it. Same with Dark Souls 2. edit: well at least the predicted requirements from certain websites say my laptop could handle this and dark souls 2. I'll know of the former within the next month or so, while the latter I might not know for a while.
