TheMightyEthan
DS4 is better than the DS3, but yeah, other than that I don't know why it would matter.
TCP
Using the DS3, what do they think we are, peasants?!?! I didn't get mine, it was only open to US residents so I gave them the area code of 90210, which I guess wasn't good enough.

TheMightyEthan
Only basic functionality is supported and not all games are compatible. Also no wireless.

Strangelove
Turns out my internet isnt good enough to run PSNow. God, I hate this country.
TheMightyEthan
If you can watch Netflix then your connection should be good enough, the problem will be latency, which is going to be limited by the distance between data centers. It's the size of the country, not the infrastructure that's the problem.

Vecha
Been trying out the beta since I got it on the PS@E3 app...and LOVE IT.Hope the prices are decent.I also have played it wirelessly. No issues. Now, my speeds rang from 30mbps to 55mbps...so waaay over the suggested speeds. Played Stranger's Wrath HD, Samuarai III, and Dead Island Riptide. Wish they had a bigger library of games to try, but it at least shows the potential. It really feels like the game is on the HDD...
TheMightyEthan
That's really impressive, I was worried latency was going to be a huge problem. As long as you can stream Netflix your bandwidth should be good enough, the problem would be the time it takes for your control signal to get from your console to the server and then the response in the game to get back to your display. Eleven
Any others who have tried this? Specifically on the PS Vita?
TheMightyEthan
No, I live it the middle of nowhere and services like that never have servers close enough to keep the latency down to playable levels.
TCP
So, there's been two late PS3 games I missed out on that I really wanted to play on PS Now. Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed Rogue. Last night I noticed both games were added. So I've started my free trial. Damn, this is really good. Even on the Vita, there's next to no noticeable latency. I forgot how ugly PS3 games can be though, blown up on a TV, with a little bit of grain from streaming (akin to Netflix streaming not looking as detailed as blu-ray) and it's pretty hideous. That said, playing it on the Vita and all of a sudden it's totally forgivable. Though, it's still too bad they couldn't stream the PC versions or something like that. I still think prices for a monthly subscription is too much, I'll play through both games and then cancel till I see something else I want to play.
