Mal
If you know of the Scythe boardgame then this is it's RTS counterpart based in the same universe. Hopefully it doesn't suck when it comes out whenever.
Mal
Aww, they cut the fight between Guan Yu, Zhang Fei and Lu Bu short. That battle should've had Liu Bei. The three of sworn brothers not being able to take Lu Bu down is one of the reasons he was notorious But yeah, Total War Three Kingdoms. toxicitizen
I'm kinda confused by Total War these days. Total Warhammer has been the main focus the last few years but I thought they had already announced the next historical game. If this is the next mainline game, then what's up with that Saga stuff? Small-scale spin-off or something? I was under the impression that it was just a rebrand for the historical games. Quit making so many of these and gimme an Alien: Isolation sequel already! Mal
Gotta get that Chinese market! It be considered an insult if this was a spin-off. In some ways this game can be seen as eating Romance of the Three Kingdoms' lunch. A spin-off cannot do. Though I guess it is fair that people are a bit ruffled by not having say Chaos Undivided or something like that for Warhammer. And it is odd how CA is just shooting out games. Mal
So the above is just a fucking mobile port. Anyhow... This is essentially Redwall! I'm debating if I want to give it a go or wait since Ni no Kuni II is just next week.

toxicitizen
Coming September 4 for PS4... and STEAM! I mean, I thought there was a chance but I didn't expect it day and date or even before the still mysterious Switch version. No mention of 3DS either.

TheMightyEthan
I am honestly surprised to discover that anyone is excited for a new Serious Sam.
MetalCaveman
In terms of unexpected sequels, this is pretty high up the list, looks cool though.
TheMightyEthan
Looks like fun. I never played the first Rage, maybe I should give it a shot.
toxicitizen
I liked the first Rage but it's pretty uneven. It's one of the best shooters I've ever played in terms of gunplay, I remember the way the enemies react to being shot being super satisfying. But the open-world stuff is pretty meh. I'm tempted to replay the first one now that we're finally getting a sequel but that trailer makes me think I might be better off not doing so. The trailer feels like there might be a bit of a tone shift and the long gap between the two makes me wonder how much of a direct sequel it'll actually be. The original ended on... not even a cliffhanger, more like it ended just as you thought "oooh, shit's finally about to get started!". It was basically a non-ending. So maybe I'd be better off leaving the original as a fuzzy memory and going into the sequel somewhat fresh.

toxicitizen
Well, the ending is literally all I know about the plot of Halo 2 but that's probably a fairly apt comparison, yeah.

toxicitizen
I really hope they only used Dolphin for the trailer for some reason and aren't actually going to release an emulator with a Steam wrapper. If I wanted to emulate Killer7, I could do it for free with my PS2 copy. Just port the fucking thing or don't, I'm not paying for a half-measure. The fact that it's announced for Steam only with seemingly no console release planned makes me think that's probably hoping for too much, though. Plus, all the screenshots on the store page are in 4:3... Edited May 28, 2018 by FLD
