deanb
So I thought we'd get it all a bit festive in here. Post some of your favourite Xmas songs. I'll start with Fairytale in New York by The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl
Battra92
I could do a long list but I won't. Angels from the Realms of Glory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-t7koyC9QE and it's more Advent (first or second) but I absolutely ADORE Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZTPJJ9sQ-E and I can't find it but Winds Through the Olive Trees has special meaning for me as well. Commander Shepard
I'm surprised back the lack of Trans-Siberian Orchestra in this thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbFyqWmKj50 Also, posting this before anyone else gets any ideas. iLjaG
It's no Frosty or Rudolph, but they're still classic: Manheim Steamroller and TSO are my primary choices for Christmas tunes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KUjtqxSwe0
iLjaG
And I know I posted it before, but it's so fucking awesome. I mean, have you ever heard Christmas music sound this fucking amazing before? No. No you haven't: (Apologizes for the double post, but apparently we're not allowed more than 2 videos per post.) Chronixal
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IWKhYQarJU Totally legit. It made Xmas no.
Battra92
It's not a Christmas song per se but it was central to the Christmas special: Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas. It was also used on John Denver & the Muppets: A Christmas together. It's not about Christmas but instead of a peaceful transition from life into the afterlife. Something to think about around Christmas.

Battra92
Hell yeah! Someone else who's seen Emmett! Hell yes I've seen it! I actually have the original HBO version complete with Kermit the Frog segments recorded off on VHS (then transferred to DVD-R) My brother also recorded Muppet Family Christmas (the Icy Patch one) on the same disc (complete with the original 80s commercials.)
