SomTervo
They were finally up for me on Wednesday night, bit weird, I wonder what caused the 24 hour delay.
TCP
That's weird. I always just grab mine off the web store, did you try that?
SomTervo
No I don't think so - good call though.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I always used the web store too, the console store is a nightmare to navigate, especially for the free games.

toxicitizen
Damn, that's a pretty insane line-up. Â I wonder if Titan Souls is a simultaneous release with PC, I've really been looking forward to that one. Really bummed out that Axiom Verge PC is coming months later. Â Also, pretty stoked to finally have a release date for Hotline Miami 2! Pre-ordering it as soon as I get home. TheMightyEthan
Oooh, Titan Souls!
TCP
Some info not present on that image: Helldivers, Hotline Miami 2, Metal Slug 3, and Shovel Knight are all cross buy (PS3/PS4/PSV). Titan Souls is two way cross buy (PS4/PSV). Bastion and Axiom Verge are two way cross buy but the Vita version won't be available till later (but you'll still get it for free if you buy the PS4 version at a launch).
deanb
So I recently picked up a second DS4. What are some good two player games to grab for PS4? Ideally short-play stuff (so fighting, racing, etc type games rather than like a full co-op campaign). Mainly to play with my younger teen siblings when they're over. At the moment, through PS+, I have; - Rocket League - LittleBigPlanet 3 - Probably some others.  Unfortunately PS Store both on the console and on PC is absolutely wank so I've no idea if I have more games that have local co-op. For example I have Hell Divers but for the life of me I'd have no idea from the product description if it's local multi-playerhttps://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/helldivers/cid=EP9000-CUSA00231_00-HELLDIVERSMOTG00  Looking through my list (which is labourius) I seem to have: - Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time - Tearaway - Starwhal - Discjam (maybe? it doesn't say "local" like the others) - Badland - Magicka 2 (sweet)  "Tiny Troops: Joint Ops" is singleplayer despite the name implying otherwise.  Actually I'm maybe not too fucked for range, but still I'm open to recommendations. danielpholt
I've heard Overcooked is fantastic if you're looking for co-op multiplayer fun. Me and my partner recently played through Until Dawn as well, although not sure if that'd still be available via PS+?
deanb
I have Until Dawn, my sis recently played it with her partner but I assumed it was in a "I watched over his shoulder" type thing, not hat it was MP (also I'm not a great person for horror games, and not sure my younger siblings are either :P). I grab all the PS+ games. So anything since Rocket League rolled out I have. Â I've seen overcooked about, I'll have a looksy.
TheMightyEthan
Comparison video of the PS3 and PS4 versions of Shadow of the Colossus   Obviously the graphics are way better from a technical perspective, but I think aesthetically it really loses something with the lack of fog that the original had. I hope they add it back in. deanb
MGSV is in Octobers PS+ line-up so that saves me a few quid. https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2017/09/27/your-playstation-plus-games-for-october-are-metal-gear-solid-v-and-amnesia-collection/
Mister Jack
So apparently Sony bought Insomniac. I'm a little surprised, but I guess I shouldn't be. Insomniac has said before that they enjoyed their independence, but I believe they also said at one point that they didn't have a good experience working with Microsoft. I guess when you're already making Sony exclusives as 90% of your business you might as well take that Sony money.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I just looked up what games they've made, and Sunset Overdrive is literally the only one that both (1) I'd heard of and (2) wasn't a Playstation exclusive. deanb
If memory serves they are/were pretty much next to Naughty Dog and would overlap a fair bit anyway back in the day (hence quite strong similarities/association between Crash and Spyro and Jak n Daxter and Ratchet n Clank). It's surprising it's taken so long. Sunset Overdrive does mean Sony technically now own the rights to an Xbox One exclusive...which is an oddity.
MetalCaveman
https://blog.us.playstation.com/2020/04/07/introducing-dualsense-the-new-wireless-game-controller-for-playstation-5/ Â PS5 controller, DualSense has been revealed, not a fan of the colour, or the fact that it has built-in microphones, but everything else looks cool. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I don't like the mics. I already have enough microphones in my house...
CorgiShinobi
I'm okay with it, though I could see the implications.  I'm liking what I'm seeing, yet I'd like for some color options at launch. White and black isn't bad, I just would like to have white as the accent color and not black. Looking at the PSVR I can see why the controller is mostly white. At the end of the day, if it feels good, then I'm good. Edited April 7, 2020 by CorgiShinobi
Mister Jack
Looks okay. I just hope the battery life has improved. That's really all I ask.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, the DS4 battery life isn't great. The mics aren't a deal breaker for me, just something that makes me go . Same with the color, it's not what I would pick, but I'm not going to refuse to buy a PS5 just because of that, even if I would prefer all-black. deanb
There will no doubt be black at some point, not like DS4 has been monochromatic. And given the outcry for black I'd say they're rolling out black quite soon even if for a special edition launch console.  Battery wise at least it's still coming with a li-on cell, and based on DS3 and DS4 should be easily user replaceable. Can't believe it's 2020 and MS are still rolling out controllers that use disposable batteries by default I got a charging cradle for DS4 a while back and it's been great, supports two controllers off one USB (and tbh doesn't even need to be using the PS4 USB ports) and you just clip an attachment onto the DS4 itself and you can pop on to charge super easy. Only fiddly bit if using on PC then I do need to take the attachment off but only takes like 2 seconds. Glad DS5 is using USB-C as well. Kinda shows the distance of time between each generation that DS3 is mini-USB, DS4 was micro-USB and now on to USB-C (which hopefully will last for a fair long while, it's a pretty solid connector).
MetalCaveman
 The combat looks weird, it seems like it plays in that style of the Batman and Shadow of Mordor/War games, but slower, there's something about it that looks off to me.  Everything else looks pretty cool
