Faiblesse Des Sens
Anyone running out of cloud storage space for PS+? I'm at 850 at the moment. Wait wait wait... do they only give you a gig? o_0 I'm assuming that's not GB. I understand that Sony wouldn't have the scale of Microsoft, Dropbox, or Google, but damn. Bump it up. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I think it's 1 or 2 GB.
deanb
Isn't Steam just a gig of storage too? Unless you're playing The Witcher games a lot then it should be more than enough for several hundred saves.
TCP
It's a gig but you get one gig for each platform (PS3/4/V).

deanb
Unless PS4 has changed much from the PS3, it's quite easy their too, just stick in a USB and copy the saves over.
TheMightyEthan
^ Yep. Just did it with Inquisition in fact, so I don't accidentally overwrite a save I may want to go back to.

That in of itself is cumbersome since you're using a controller to do it and you have to remember to even do it in the first place.
TheMightyEthan
Settings > Application Save Data Management > Copy to USB. You have a weird definition of "cumbersome".
Faiblesse Des Sens
You're forgetting about walking up to the device and putting in the USB stick. Which involves owning one you can use for this purpose and leaving it in the system to begin with. Are you seriously trying to start a console vs. PC argument here? This is not something that consoles make easy and the point is that you shouldn't ever have to worry about this sort of thing. Which is why I initially expressed that 1GB was not enough space. IIRC Xbox One has unlimited space. Because why not?
Hot Heart
To be fair, it can be a total hassle to get a USB stick in the right way round first try. Wears you right out.
TheMightyEthan
@FDS: You're the only one trying to start a platform war, I didn't say it was easier than PC, I just said it wasn't cumbersome. Something doesn't have to be literally the simplest thing in the world just to not be cumbersome.
TCP
I'm pretty sure FDS is being sarcastic. At least, I really hope he is.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I'm pretty sure FDS is being sarcastic. At least, I really hope he is. I'm being hyperbolic to point out how stupid a 1GB limitation is for a paid service in this day and age.
TheMightyEthan
I would agree with you, but I haven't come anywhere close to the limit yet on any of the three systems I have the service for, so apparently it's not that big an issue. Eleven
It's a gig but you get one gig for each platform (PS3/4/V). You do? Well then no worries yet I guess. It's on my PS3 where I saw I have 850MB. Only a few more games to play there.

Thursday Next
MS never give sell through numbers. Especially when they are being spanked at the tills.

Mal
@Vecha: Number wise, the X1 did really well during the holiday season but you got to know it was bundled with games (three games I think?) and Xbox Live to hell and back at $350. Now the base console is back up to $399. That shit won't sell until next holiday season. Edited January 6, 2015 by MaliciousH

A ton of the xbone purchases during the season were by parents or grandparents who wanted to get the kids a nice gift and went with the less expensive option. Everyone I talked to who bought it for themselves did it specifically because of the bundle deal, and this was a lot of people. I realize this is just anecdotal but I imagine this was the case in more than just my area.
TheMightyEthan
I'm honestly glad. Having the two consoles competing fiercely leads to better stuff for all consumers than if one of them was dominating.
Mister Jack
That was certainly the case with Xbox Live gold.
SomTervo
Can anyone tell me why the PSN Plus January games aren't on the Store yet? The first Tuesday of the month has been and gone already. I want my Swapper and Infamous. Maybe they've pushed it to next Tuesday, Christmas and NY and all that, in which case fuck off Sony. TheFlyingGerbil
Probably to give people a chance to get the last ones after all the outages like they extended some of their offers
