To be fair they carry on shitting one out every year and folks are clearly tiring, combined with them bank rolling a big film they'd probably not want articles of "Assassins Creed kinda sucks" coming out alongside film release in case folks mix the two. Syndicate is already £20 new on consoles, and only came out in...Oct/Nov (and Witcher 3 was still selling for £50!).

Amazed we've not seen the same with COD, but that does shit tons better than AC so maybe worth going until it dies like Guitar Hero.

The tagline is also out of date. If you want I can update both. Eventually. (I need to update the Tapatalk, but I carry on remembering while I'm at work...mainly cos it's a work-related matter weirdly enough)

Also at first I was like "this forum isn't even 7 years old" then I worked out what maths you were using.

The gameplay demo they showed had numbers floating above enemies to show how muh damage your weapons were doing, they've mentioned they're going for an action-RPG approach this time around. :P This is fine for open combat, but I feel that assassinations should still be one-hit kills. :P

I'll reserved judgement for now - I like an easy game but even I've thought a few times it's a bit too easy to drop down for an air assassination then run off into the night. Or if you've got two people walking together and you try to assassinate the one behind it's a bit unrealistic for the one in front to carry on walking as if nothing's happened, if they can even just live long enough to alert the person in front it will potentially make the gameplay a lot more dynamic. I guess I'll choose to be optimistic because I still enjoy the franchise.

I wouldn't mind them tweaking the noticeability of your assassinations, because I agree there are situations where it should be detected and isn't, but as Thursday said stabbing someone in the neck should kill them, even if it also alerts their friend.

Bushido Blade was good for its time. Yeah, I'm not necessarily saying that everything should be a one hit kill, just that stealth assassinations should be. I assume that rather than the assassination taking off a chunk of health you'll just get caught out by a higher level enemy and the assassination will fail. But still, it will diminish that feeling of being an assassin I think... We'll see I guess.

There was an inkling of a character levelling system in Syndicate and a whole four unique skills for each Frye twin which sort of set them apart; Jacob was better for scrapping, Evie was better for stealthing. You also had things like certain low-level gadgets not affecting higher level enemies until upgraded and there was a "noise" system related to kills and running.

I could see them trying to build on that and allowing you to somewhat specialise your character for being super fast and sneaky, or good with the bow, etc. but a stealth-kill not actually killing would be weird. Might seem better to make the kill take longer, or make tougher enemies harder to sneak up on (like certain Last of Us ones?).

They've shown the skill tree, it's divided into Warrior, Hunter and Seer. Hunter I believe has stuff that improves your skills with a bow as well as unlocking more skills for your pet eagle. Warrior is for when you just want to kill stuff. and I don't know what Seer is for. :P They've also mentioned you can spread over all the categories or just focus on one.

Also, this:

Looks way more fun when it's just people fooling around than when the developers are specifically trying to show certain parts of the game. :P
