toxicitizen
Yeah, the way people say Symphonia is one of the best in the series is really putting me off of trying more of them. :/ I was discussing it with someone online and they mentioned the point where most people say it gets good. And that's about where I was, so it's possible I quit just as it was on the verge of picking up. But I don't really feel like wasting any more time on it just on the off chance it might finally get better. I have other, better shit to play. I already have Xillia so I'll probably try it at some point. And if I enjoy it maybe I'll go back to Symphonia. But I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. Alex Heat
Don't listen to anyone who says Symphonia is one of the best in the series. They're either liars or it's the only Tales game they've played.
Strangelove
Apparently every Tales game is the best one according to the fanbase since Ive heard the same about Vesperia. Sadly I can't play that one because MS were being assdicks last gen...
toxicitizen
Interesting. Which ones would you say are the best then? All I know is most people seem to hate Graces. edit: Oh yeah, forgot about Vesperia. I hear that one is really good. Sucks that they never localized the PS3 port. TheMightyEthan
The only Tales of game I've ever been able to get into was Destiny, but man I loved it.
Alex Heat
Vesperia is definitely my favorite and the one I would say is the best. Eternia/Destiny II has a special place in my heart for being my first Tales games. I tried to go back and play Phantasia and Destiny, but I'm too used to the fluidity of the later game battle systems to make much progress. danielpholt
This seems to have skipped by without anyone having noticed. It's a fun (frustratingly difficult) first person platform/puzzle/shooter thing. You have to navigate each platforming section whilst shooting enemies, avoiding taking any hits all whilst trying to avoid falling to your death. Also, there's these bomb things that randomly fall to the ground, you're gonna wanna hit them before they drop to the floor. £3.80 on Steam, I imagine it might get some traction as a gift-able game during the next Steam sale. madbassman39
I decided to buy into the beta of Elite: Dangerous.... sadly the processing is in the UK and both my credit cards don't like me buying something from them for some reason (kept getting denied and calls from fraud prevention). Bought it via Paypal check, which takes 3-5 business days!! I'm buying a digital product with digital money that is taken from my bank account immediately, but it takes 3 days to process it while it sits in Paypals bank?? Its dumb. Either way I bought that and a proper flight stick with a secondary throttle. I'm ready for my space flight sim games!

Eleven
Vesperia is great. My first tales game, and so far still the best. Every character is likeable. Music is pretty good too! Xillia is good. Not the best characters, but still very enjoyable gameplay. Symphonia I have no idea. But I'm willing to bet it's Nostalgia talking when people say it's the best. Stay away from Graces. I'm willing to go far to enjoy my games, but... I should have just believed it when people saud it's bad... Now if I get some time off work, or on the weekend, imma buy Xillia 2!
Alex Heat
Graces did have one thing going for it and that's that it had a lot of great skits.

Mister Jack
While I'm sure nobody will agree with me, I think this is a case where the console version is actually superior to the PC version. No online requirement, local co-op, direct control over character movement, a console-only dodge mechanic, and an exclusive Last of Us dungeon make the PS4 port the version to beat for me. Oh yeah, and every item takes up the same amount of inventory space in this version, so there's none of that constant rearranging to make things fit. TCP
Finally bit the bullet and picked up this gem for PS4 and Vita last night: It's perfect on Vita! Painfully hard though. Or I'm just bad. Maybe a bit of both?
toxicitizen
A bit of both, I think. But the thing with Rogue Legacy is that all you really need to do is try not to die until you have enough gold to level up. The persistent character progression means it's almost impossible to truly get stuck.
Mr. GOH!
Rogue Legacy just takes tenacity. Once you've leveled up a bunch, it's easier. The bosses are easier than the trickier rooms, I've found, though I've only defeated three bosses so far.
deanb
So I got XCOM:..errm I need to go check the name of the game I bought, two ticks... *comes back* So I got The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. It was cheap enough to give it a shake. Backlog? Hah! Savygamer will slowly but surely make me poorer (though at this price Greggs is more likely to make me poorer faster).
