toxicitizen
Oh right, I also grabbed that yesterday. I was initially holding off for a bundle that includes everything but it doesn't look like that's happening any time soon. Threw a few more bucks in for the Deluxe Editon but I probably won't be getting Dragonfall until after I've played the base campaign. deanb
T'was on sale on HIB*. It better be mediocre Ethan! *Shadowrun is also cheap there too if you missed it on Steam over the weekend (though my Steambook feed suggests very few missed it)

Doesn't do anything new, but it's more of Arkham City and that was fine in my books.
TheMightyEthan
I think even saying it's more of Arkham City is giving it a little bit more credit than it deserves. Superficially yeah, but everything about it just feels slightly off, from the encounters to the level design to the combat to the bosses. Cold, Cold Heart was a lot better though. toxicitizen
Both from the current Humble Store sale. Pixeljunk Eden was an impulse purchase but it was only 2,50$ and the last one I was still missing on PC. I really hope they bring the rest of the series to Steam at some point. Some of them I never got around to grabbing on PS3. As for Metro, I've been on the lookout for a deal for over a month now. I'm pretty sure I already own it through PS+ but it's not really something I wanna play on console. Really glad I held off considering the Complete Edition they just released. Now I don't need to grab the Season Pass or Ranger Mode separately. Edited May 9, 2014 by FLD
toxicitizen
Paid for entirely through the sale of Steam cards. Took about 2 and half weeks of idling for drops, most of it done while I was studying for finals. I expected I would have to pay the difference out of pocket but I actually ended up making a little over 30 bucks. It's a bit of a bummer that there's no pre-order discount or any kind of saving from getting the Soundtrack bundle but, after Bastion, I'm confident both will be excellent so whatever. Speaking of Bastion, now I kinda want to give it another playthrough before this comes out. Edited May 10, 2014 by FLD
Strangelove
I wasn't a fan of Bastion, but this game looks really fucking cool. Im curious to see the reviews.

The Bastion soundtrack costs the same on Bandcamp but Bandcamp nets you the FLACs and not having to use Steam.
toxicitizen
I don't think there's a standard format but most of those I own are mp3s only, including Bastion's. The only one I can think of that also included FLACs was Frozen Synapse.

deanb
Our local Travelling Man had one copy in. Should be a nice filler title. I wrote a bit about it on the Board Game thread
Strangelove
The allure of playing this on a portable while watching the Simpsons at 2am was too strong.I also had like $130 in PSN credit, so there's that.

TCP
How are you liking it? The reviews are pretty mediocre ("this is the worst version of BL2!" - no shit?) but people on GAF seem to like it.
Strangelove
It's kind of amazing. It's definitely Borderlands 2. It's native resolution and the textures are actually some of the best on the system. Aside from only having 4 enemies onscreen at once, it plays exactly the same. If someone hadnt told me, I wouldnt have noticed it. It doesn't "feel" different. Its closer to a downsized PS3 version than a portable Borderlands 2, if that makes any sense. As for the bad stuff? The slowdown stuff is exaggerated, but it is there. It's almost nonexistent though. After playing about 3 hours I only encountered it while fighting a boss(Flynt), which is understandable. There is slowdown while switching menus though. Quite a bit of it. The load times are longer than the PS3 version, but not by much. And the controls I think are fine. I think thats the defining factor. If youre comfortable with Vita and using all the features at once, you'll be fine. If not....well yeah. Youll probably bitch about it. Honestly since Ive been playing ive only been upset about one thing - cross save isnt supported yet. The option is there, but it doesnt work yet, not till the PS3 version gets patched. Which it hasnt. It should have been patched on release day. In short - coming from the PS3 version, it never EVER feels unplayable. It's a perfectly capable game. It's Borderlands 2 on a handheld. toxicitizen
I mostly got it for the story mode since I've finally finished P4G and it's actually considered a canonical sequel to it. But I'm also really looking forward to playing an Arc System Works fighter again. I played a shit ton of the original BlazBlue a few years ago and loved the hell out of it but I never got around to grabbing any of the sequels. So that should be fun. Tracking says it should be getting here tomorrow, so I'll be able to play through it over the week-end while I wait for Transistor!
staySICK
and and I agree with strangelove: it's definitely borderlands 2. I knew it didn't have as many enemies onscreen, but I didn't know it was actually limited to 4. I don't mind the absence of ragdoll, the explody isn't all that bad. I haven't noticed any huge slowdowns, but a few weird jumps here and strangely when there was little going on. I had a real bad stutter at the opening cinematic which made me apprehensive, but the rest of the game has been really good. Biggest complaint is they didn't include Tiny Tina in the DLC, or that it isn't a straight up complete / goty edition and the dlc is actually dlc -- taking up more room on a memory stick.
deanb
Grabbed Guild Wars 2 on the cheap. I quite liked the trial I played, kind of fund of the idea of a fuller MMO without the whole F2P aspect and no pressure to be constantly playing it. TheMightyEthan
The reviews I've seen make it seem like it's good, but not full $60 good. Of course part of that is that I wasn't terribly interested to start with.

toxicitizen
The first two Muramasa Rebirth DLC are 50% off right now so I finally grabbed 'em. I've been meaning to go back to the game for a while, mostly cause I want to platinum it, so this gives me a good excuse to do it soonish.
