deanb
Figured since Marvel has one that DC should have one too (as is Warner/DC line of thinking) So Gotham trailer is out. It could be interesting since it seems to be mostly focused on pre-Batman and the whole origins/childhoods of the rogues gallery. My only beef would be that; 1. Ben McKenzie just doesn't give much of a James Gordon kind of look to him. 2. Could they just have not had the Waynes die and like he'll look in the case, not find much and that's it beyond a few references on TVs in backgrounds about Wayne Industries. It's sort of meant to be Batman without Batman, but Gordon seems to be pretty chummy with Bruce (a child who gives his full name).
TheMightyEthan
That's one problem with prequels: they tend to try to tie all the characters in in stupid ways.
TCP
Except Gotham has nothing to do with the Superman/Batman movie, which has nothing to do with Arrow, so it's not so much a "universe" and more of a "collection of unrelated garbage, some of which is good (Arrow)". That said, the Gotham trailer was surprisingly good. Hopefully since Ben McKenzie is in it there's a good mid-2000's indie-pop song for the theme song "Gothaaaam City... here I coooooooommmmeeee". Man, I really wish the OC was on Netflix. Shut up!
Mister Jack
Except for the Dark Knight trilogy, DC's movieverse is garbage. They're trying to play catch up with Marvel and the Avengers by condensing what took them 10 years to set up into a mere 2 or 3. It'll be a complete disaster and anyone with half a brain knows it.
TCP
MJ: I'd be inclined to agree with you but I really must recommend you watch Arrow, which is the best live action to come out of DC, ever. Ok maybe except for The Dark Knight. But it's up there!
deanb
Brum Brum. Looks like they're going with a cross between the Tumbler and the old style long Batmobilies.
Strangelove
Sorry, but I think it looks stupid.

Strangelove
I think it's that way so the Superman symbol can fit inside of it for the logo. Hmm...
TCP
This looks terrific. If you haven't watched season 1 and 2 of Arrow and you like live action super hero movies, give your head a shake and get on it. Now!
deanb
Did that trailer really give away finales and such?

deanb
It seemed as if it gave away quite a bit on the initial big bad and ending for their confrontation. Unless it entirely focused on the first episode, in which case it's given away a fair chunk of the first episode in just raw minuteage.. deanb
http://batmanvsupermandawnofjustice.com/ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I'l be honest I thought the "Batman Versus Superman" stuff was just early hype building spit balling naming, not one they'd actually use as a serious title for a film. Also the second Superman film has Batman in the title first. Also what was wrong with like...Dark Knight Returns or Worlds Finest or god anything but "Dawn of Justice". How long did they have to keep the film title guys locked up in a room to come up with that one?
Strangelove
Sounds like the title of a Phoenix Wright game.
deanb
Yeah a lot of folks have highlighted the missing "s" in "vs" makes it less a fight and more of a court room drama on the damages Superman owes to the city of Metropolis.

Eleven
Oh god I just liked old posts. I just found it so funny because I just watched that Superman/Darkseid scene in JLU where Superman let's loose, and sends Darkseid through a lot of buildings, which probably cost a lot to repair and most likely killed some people. deanb
Zack Snyder is kinda taking the "dark and brooding" from beyond parody at this point. The horrible thing is I'll probably still end up seeing it.
Hot Heart
It's kinda funny that it's got so many Golden Age comic book characters who are almost sepia-toned in appearance.
TheMightyEthan
And here I thought Captain America had established that it's okay to keep the silly, colorful uniforms from the comics.
