Thursday Next
This is the first I've heard of Suicide Squad, I also assumed that Joker was for Batman v. Superman. *Edit - I also didn't realize that Man of Steel was the first film of the DC shared universe. That's not promising. Also, are Arrow and the Flash TV show part of the universe or not? I saw that there is a Flash movie coming out in 2018. Yeah, I thought Suicide Squad were going to be the baddies or something in the movie. Maybe Bat/Superman have a fight then resolve it to address Suicide Squad. Or beat Suicide Squad then fall out, or just introduce Suicide Squad in a credits sting. Or something. I had no idea that there were two Batman films incoming. Who is the Batman in SS?
TheMightyEthan
I don't think Batman is actually in the SS movie. Apparently the SS (terrible acronym) is a special ops team of supervillains offered clemency in exchange for doing shit for the government.

CorgiShinobi
I don't think Batman is actually in the SS movie. Apparently the SS (terrible acronym) is a special ops team of supervillains offered clemency in exchange for doing shit for the government. Essentially, though from time to time a superhero might catch wind of Suicide Squad missions. The Suicide Squad has a few regulars like Deadshot, but otherwise the group will consist of an assortment of antiheroes and supervillains that act as deniable assets to the government. If you remember the two Justice League series from the early 2000's, there was that angry fat black woman; that's Amanda Waller. She's the director that gathers members for the Suicide Squad and makes sure they know they could die and no one would give two cents. In fact, there will be countermeasures for the Suicide Squad if they attempt to go rogue during the missions. Getting time off your life sentences might make it seem like a win-win, but the odds are stacked against the Suicide Squad since, again, they could die and maybe a teammate would care. It's why members tend to be captured and not volunteered. Anyway, Joker's tattoos...
Mister Jack
There is no writer or director on planet Earth who can make the "Damaged" forehead tattoo anything but cringeworthy Facebook-tier bullshit. I could see myself getting over the rest of the tattoos if I absolutely had to, but that one I will hate until the end of time. I'll always hate the grille too, but I hated those long before this new Joker ever showed up. Edited April 27, 2015 by Mister Jack
Strangelove
So much better than Nolan's Batsuit.

Strangelove
You guys are always so negative. Frankly, Im getting sick and tired of it. Think positive for once.
Mr. GOH!
Batman wouldn't think positive, though.
Mister Jack
There's thinking positive and then there's living in a fantasy world. There is no way in hell this movie will be good.

deanb
Full Suicide Squad (which makes me think Joker isn't part of it? Maybe the baddie). Probs best opened in a new tab. Slipknot, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Katana, Rick Flagg, Harley Quinn, Fresh Prince, Killer Croc, El Diablo.
Strangelove
Did anyone else give a shit about Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne? No one ever mentions it, but his Wayne is completely unsympathetic. Like, I never cared what happened to him. A shitload of bad shit happens to him in all three movies and I truly never felt bad for him. I like Bale's acting, but he's an emotionless robot to me in these movies. I personally am never invested in his well being. Not to mentiont hat I feel that in every movie the villain steals the spotlight - I love Neeson in Begins, Ledger in Dark Knight, and Rises had a alot of problems, but it wasnt Bane. The characters on these movies just kind of suck. None of them stand out, not even Batman himself. Christian Bale isnt that much different from Jennifer Lawrence - just not likable in these superhero movies, yet still good actors. Even Wolverine who is basically invincible in the movies, I always cared about. Same with Magneto and Professor X. Id say the same for McGuire's Spiderman and even Downey's Tony Stark. Especially in the first movie. Fuck, I felt bad when Groot died. Especially the reaction from Rocket. And those dudes are a tree and a fucking raccoon. deanb
Oh for any fans of Joker tattoos Harley has "Daddies Lil' Monster" on her t-shirt, and "I <3 Joker" and "Pudding" on her thigh, upside down though so more like she's done it herself. TheMightyEthan
Harley being on the team wouldn't seem to jive with Joker being the bad guy...
Thursday Next
Did anyone else give a shit about Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne? He's supposed to be somewhat unlikeable isn't he? He's a billionaire who shuns personal connections for fear of getting those around him hurt, pretends to be a drunk arsehole to get people safely out of his mansion before a fight kicks off and pretends to be in such a rush to be a billionaire dick somewhere that he sideswipes a police car in a Lamborghini. Just as he lets Batman become the scapegoat for Dent's murder, he lets Bruce Wayne be seen as a bit of a knob. All for the Greater Good™.
Strangelove
That's his public image. That's not who he really is. I hope you were joking and you're really not that dense. Edited May 5, 2015 by Strangelove

Thursday Next
That's his public image. That's not who he really is. I hope you were joking and you're really not that dense. Yeah, public Bruce Wayne is a knob. The only time we see a remotely sympathetic Bruce is when he is alone with Alfred or Fox. If you only watch the Alfred and Fox interactions, he's quite likeable (imho), he's respectful of Fox's intelligence and strong moral convictions, and also of Alfred's worldly experience and treats him as an equal despite Alfred being a servant and in theory waaaaaay down the social ladder. When he's around anyone else, he's a tool. Since he is mostly around other people, he is mostly a tool, therefore you think he is a full-time tool, even though he is a pretty cool guy. Eh has no parents and doesn't afraid of anything. Sorry... After I wrote "pretty cool guy" I felt I had to follow through...
Hot Heart
I can understand why you'd be unsympathetic, because you're constantly being made to question him; you're never 100% behind him (unless you're a right-wing nutbag maybe). Alfred berates him for the destruction he causes in the Tumbler In Begins, he denies himself a future with Rachel, he becomes the "war on terror" in TDK, etc. He's a fascinating character, but not necessarily an "ideal" and even he knows it. Strangelove
I just never felt bad when his parents died, or when Rachel died. Or when he went broke and Bane broke his back. Am I supposed to feel bad for him? Bale didnt do anything to feel that way. Even when he cries when Rachel dies feels fake to me. In comparison, when Rocket cries I did feel bad. Rachel is a full character in both movies and Groot just has one line(or 2) of dialogue. YEt I feel Groot is a deeper more likable character.
