I dont think I need to point it out, but tons of spoilers will be spoiled here. Tread carefully.

I'm not sure who here likes to replay games, but I honestly love it. I probably replay SMB3, Dead Space 2, and MGS2 once a year. Sometimes I'll replay a game right after I beat it(TLoU). I just really like replaying games. Whether I have new games to play or not.

Sometimes games turn out worse than you remember, sometimes they get better once all the smoke has settled and sometimes they're just about the same.

I have different reasons for replaying games. Sometimes because the gameplay is just amazing or because they have storylines I want to experience again. Sometimes both.

Sometimes games are timeless, sometimes theyre stuck in time, but they both have their charms. Anyways...

Bioshock Infinite

I played it when it was released and liked it a lot. A lot of people liked it a lot. Then a few weeks went on and it seems tons of people overanalyzed it, turned on it, dissected it and left it to rot.
I personally remember liking it a lot, but still feeling disappointed compared to Bioshock. It was too similar in the gameplay department, the skyhook gameplay wasnt as good as it looked in the trailers, Songbird is hardly in the game, and the ending was a messy mindfuck.

I replayed it about two weeks ago and I honestly might like it as much as the original Bioshock or even more. Now that I don't have to think too much about where to go, what to do, what things mean, I can focus on everything else a lot more. The attention to detail was always obvious to me, but playing it again really brings it out of the game. It's wonderful.
As for the gameplay, now that I know what vigors and guns I like, I had a great time leveling those up. The game is a lot more fun this time around.
As for the story, now that I've read up all sorts of opinions and dissections on it, I've come to understand it a lot more and how fascinating it is. A lot of the characters became way more interesting this time around too. Booker, Elizabeth and the Lutece twins in particular. I never thought about the twins too much the first time I played it, but once you play it again it all comes together and you can see their influence in everything that happens.
Songbird showing up only a handful of times really made it a lot more mythical. A character that does so little means so much. I felt bad about it when it died this time around.
Just closely paying more attention to the voxophones made the game jump up several points.
It's overly ambitious and it's not perfect, but overall I came away with a lot more appreciation for it. It's one of the greatest games ever made, in my opinion.
