Vecha
Has anyone ever heard of Kratom? It's been used for, supposedly, "thousands" of years in SE Asia. Both as an opiate substitute and as a way to get through opiate withdrawls. About five or more years ago it began to find it's way to popularity among some Americans. The plant(or tree) is in the coffee family, however it does more than give you a caffeine kick. It can boost your mood, relieve pain, and offer some help with Depression. I deal with Chronic Pain(I think I've talked about it on here before with some of you guys) so I was interested in how it would work in relieving my pain. Bought some about a week ago and really, really love the stuff. I don't know a lot about the chemical part of the plan that works on your body...but from what I read, it slightly binds to opiod receptors(but not nearly as much as opiates) and it has several alkaloids that have antioxidant effects...and some that the proverbial "we" doesn't yet know the effects of yet.But...it has also lowered my BP! Ha! From 130 over something...to 120/80. I mean. Wow. It's totally legal in the USA and UK(for now...damn you DEA/Pharmaceuticals!) and the one thing giving it a bad name is how it is sold in some head shops next to "legal highs" like Spice, etc.The only difference is this is NOT some fucked up man combined chemical. More like pot...except you don't smoke it and it won't rot out your liver. Thought I'd share this with you guys in case you want to relieve some aches and pains, or would like something to lighten your mood without knocking you out or giving you massive headaches the day after. Pojodin
I don't know. He didn't type with a Nigerian enough accent to be spam. And he does suffer from chronic pain, particularly in his lower back if I remember correctly, so this does seem like something he would probably try, expecially considering he's exhausted most conventional options of treatment for his pain.
