Vecha
Oh I understood! Was just being a dick...and I dislike how the industry has decided to call virtual server farms...cloud.
Baconrath
Gotham City Impostors did have some kind of broken DLC weapons (Witch Doctor shot around corners) where to get the Fun Fact that counters that weapon you had to have bought the DLC yourself. That wasn't very fun : (

Vecha
I'm not seeing the context here. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_server Leads from what Ethan linked. On that page there is this: "A VPS which is dynamic (that is, it can be changed at runtime) is often referred to as a cloud server." From my understanding, I am by no means an expert whatsoever, sounds like multiple servers that are linked and can be changed instantly...and yeah. This seems to be where cloud storage and cloud computing meet...and some people are fine with cloud storage but not the computing aspect. Or they have doubts about it. Like I said earlier, the only thing I don't like is the usage of "cloud." But it isn't the end of the world for me...I don't demand they change it or I'll go back and live in a cave or anything. lol Hell, I'm surprised someone hasn't said, "But Vecha...why are you ok with the usage of Farm instead of cloud?" Well invisible questioner, I feel "farm" gives a better visualization...but opinions and stuff, Lol Edited July 27, 2014 by Vecha
TheMightyEthan
Instead of "farm storage" we could call it "the barn"! "I keep all important files in the barn."

It's more complex than any words we're using to describe which just brings it back to the fact that "cloud" is meant to mean all of this shit at once if it's used properly.
FredEffinChopin
"YES, now with Paypal!!!" said nobody ever. This game isn't even out yet. DLC presented/presents some great possibilities for gaming, but it seems mostly just abused nowadays, and the trend isn't going to stop. Selling $60 to people with $30 season passes and $10 expansions every three months is too sweet to let go of.
Faiblesse Des Sens
The "and" makes no sense in your sentence. It should be an or.
TheFlyingGerbil
publishers do seem to have a habit of not including half the DLC in the season passes though.
Faiblesse Des Sens
publishers do seem to have a habit of not including half the DLC in the season passes though. I literally can't think of any examples. What are some non-cosmetic items that weren't included in a game's season pass?
FredEffinChopin
I decided to word it that way because both of those things are done with a single game, even if a single customer won't do both with that game. While it did seem at first that it might appear a bit hyperbolic, factually speaking, any game with a season pass is also selling that DLC separately to people as well. As far as leaving the word "game" out of that sentence, I have no excuse, I just mistyped.
Baconrath
If you're playing Civ:BE in multiplayer with people with the pre-order Exoplanet DLC and you don't have said DLC the game will crash. Fun!
