I'm FutileEnd.

I was on the TAY forum, for a bit. Then RL got busy.

I am a proud 360 gamer, with a love of RPGs, but shooters come up a close second. I play Minecraft, and love to mod the hell out of it. I am an unashamed, unapologetic troll for about 75% of the time I am on the internet, the other 25% I am looking at porn.

Don't worry though, I'll play nice.

Oh, and I do have hobbies outside of the internet, I am on my Cadet battalion shooting team for example, and doa lot of volunteer work.

Oh, and that guy in my profile picture? That's me!

Hi everyone! I'm Nez. Old school gamer here, been playing since my mom bought me my first atari 2600 when I was 4. :P

Found out about this forum from MasterDex after a rant I had on Kotaku :P.

I'm a big PC gamer and a big console gamer. Have all 3 consoles and I could go on all day about PCs but I'll spare everyone. Love shooters, RPGs, adventure... ok I really just like it all.

Looking forward to future gaming discussions. :D

Hi guys!

Thanks to MasterDex, I've finally found the Valhalla for fallen Kotaku stars, it seems! ;) MasterDex, DeanB, Slagathorian... just in the last pages of this thread - I'm sure to see many more when I look around. Awesome!

Oh uh, right... I'm fuchikoma - a geek of all trades in Western Canada who likes to play on any and all systems I can. I have preferences, but everything has ups and downs. I think some technical points are clear, but the broader your scope, the greyer the picture you get. (So a system may have a strength or a weakness, but it's really hard to make a purely good or bad product! Talking software... it's a qualia. You like what you like.)

I've been addicted to Kotaku for around 5 years, but had a recent falling out with one of the new editors, so I'm sort of free from my "responsibilities" as a star there now. I'd been meaning to leave earlier when they forced the new layout, but while VG247 and GiantBomb are great, they didn't quite fill the niche for me so I came back. Skimming the member list here, this looks like home!

I tend to write walls of text, so I'll try to keep this short. I like to editorialize and debate, but it's never personal - attack the argument, not the opponent (that said, I have a habit of matching politeness levels with my partner... *cough*) I love video games, but you could get me talking about most geeky pursuits - I've got a thing for studying languages for fun, so I'm not trying to sound pretentious when I write - I've just crammed a lot of vocab in there. I'm an autodidact, so I'm happy just learning something new and interesting in general.

Anyway, I bet many of you have seen me around Kotaku so you'd kind of know me already if I'm not forgotten... I'm looking forward to catching up with you on here and meeting the ones I don't know!

(edit: linked to "my" profile, not the one for my account... derp)

Good morning. I am Jesus, previously known as PunkyChipsAhoy. My first account was banned because I apparently insulted the call-girls who frequent Kotaku and god knows those are the highest quality of visitors. I have my own brand of humor that has its fair share of criticism, but I don't tend to insult other users, it's usually the other way around. I haven't been destarred recently, but I have been. I like the community there way too much to just leave [evidence by the new username], plus stars aren't really all that important in the large scale as others tend to promote me so others can too facepalm at my bad jokes.

I am a 20 year old straight male college student in the USA, studying engineering of the chemical variety. I like to go to the gym on a constant basis and like to believe I have a good taste in clothing. I actually do carry my own hipster glasses irl, making me the ultimate non-hipster as I'm making fun of them when I do so and everybody and their mums do it making the insult so last year. I am the second coming of christ, and also like nice strolls through the park and frolicking with woodland creatures in the manliest manner possible. Won't you come frolicking with me?

Hmm, I seem to be in the presence of many figures of respect. It seems rather intimidating, especially considering that I was one of the invisibles...

Anyway, hello hello, I'm UnstableArk, that quiet dude who says something here or there when it seems appropriate. I'm a 21 year old college student training in the unholy combination of digital media and computer sciences. Been in the gaming scene for as long as I could remember, and it's not changing anytime soon. And like most of you, I visited Kotaku on a near daily basis for several years until a change in scenery slowly began building a fierce amount of suppressed rage.

Unfortunately(maybe fortunately?), I haven't had a major falling out or anything of the sort, but I do like to observe the thoughts and concerns of others who seem to ask the tough stuff. Also, I've been looking for a forum of class for quite some time, so hopefully I'm welcome here. I hope I don't bog down anyone for my anonymity, and I don't expect my post counter to reach the thousands either, at least not anytime soon.

Not sure what else I can say or if a mob will drive me out of town by torch and pitchfork, but that's pretty much it. I'm sleep deprived, so yeah, that'll have to do for now, won't it?

Ark, I was and still am more or less invisible. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, its pretty damn good to avoid most of the forums drama that will come about and to tell folks the truth. I had no idea who Dean was before I joined the forums. Hell, I didn't even know shit went down when I was even at Kotaku.

So yeah, welcome board!

Jebus!

Hello all, I'm ZakMckracken (as known by few on Kotaku) also known as DirtyD or FNG_DirtyD on Steam. Thank you MasterDex for telling me about this place.

I'm 28, single, living in the U.S. I mostly play PC games, but have a PS3, 360, 3DS, PSP, and a very dusty Wii.

@Deanb: I remember you from your Kotaku posts, and was very disappointed to see you get de-starred & banned, especially when so many of us agreed with what you were saying.
