deanb
I'm somewhat mixed. Part of me feels this'll be a bit wank. But the other part of me is that Vin Diesel is kinda playing his DnD character and he really gets into stuff.
Mr. GOH!
I feel like Deadpool is good in theory, but nothing I've read or seen, from trailers to the comics themselves, lives up to the hype.
TheMightyEthan
The trailer looked promising enough that I went from "it'd be nice if that doesn't suck" to "I'm keeping my eye on this".
Mr. GOH!
It's being released in February. Not a great omen.
Hot Heart
I didn't find the humour particularly great in that Deadpool trailer (Posh Spice and Rosie O'Donnell references? How long has the script been in development?) but it did look entertaining.

The trailer doesn't make it clear, but I take it this is going to be one of a Past-Present origin story of sorts.

deanb
Was in the trailers before my film, I'd read a bit about it in Empire, seems like it might be quite good. Also not shown: edit: For American viewing This one I think is meant to be funny.
deanb
Doesn't seem my kind of film, but could appeal to some. If James fucking Corden gets murdered in this movie I will pay to watch it multiple times a day Some more than others.
Thursday Next
Did I write that? It seems like something I would write. I fucking hate that talentless oxygen thief. Fuck James Corden.

Mr. GOH!
What's a James Corden and why does everyone hate him?
deanb
Kinda terrible and unfunny "comedian". He carries on popping up in films now and then. I think America has inherited him for the moment (a quick Google suggests he has replaced Craig Ferguson. *We've swapped out a bag of skittles for rabbit droppings, let's see if the children notice") Aww..I only see bits n bobs of Craig Fergusons stuff but he was a funny chappy. TheMightyEthan
Hmm, looked James Corden up on iMDB and of his 4 "known for" movies I haven't even heard of any of them.
deanb
His infamy isn't from being a film actor.
Thursday Next
He was part of a team that wrote a comedy drama called Gavin and Stacey which, largely due to featuring i) regional accents and ii) fat people being disgusting, was lauded as comedy genius. He has then gone on to put his talentless, gurning, smug, round face in everything from Doctor Who to a chat show called a league of their own. A lack of talent, plus ubiquity has led to him being universally despised but at the same time impossible to get rid of. He keeps getting cast as "loveable fat bloke" despite only fulfilling two of the requirements.
Hot Heart
Only just learned about this. I'd heard the name but never knew any of the history behind him (not that I expect this to be 100% factual)

deanb
Scarlet Johansson is slightly distracting because it's so obviously her. Man this could be good though just for the voice cast.
TCP
TCP trivia fact for you: I know the girl playing Leo's wife, you see her at 2:12 for a split second, really nice girl.

deanb
Can't even really remember the first one apart from being a disappointing style over substance thing.
TheFlyingGerbil
It's still got Johnny Depp so that immediately makes me less interested. It's the sort of film that if it came on over Christmas I'd probably watch it but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.
