deanb
He's an interesting fella and interesting career to follow. He's in the position where he's not great enough at any one thing to be a clear run for an Oscar, but good enough at multitudes and important in many films that people essentially just want a "Andy Serkis Oscar" even if they pretend it's not essentially just for him. TheMightyEthan
I just knew that basically any time there's a CGI character in a movie it's played by him.
Mister Jack
Anyone who saw Deadpool might have seen this already. So this movie looks like a piece of shit, but there's been an ironic development. The movie is being directed by Brian Henson, Jim Henson's son. However, he is now being sued by the Sesame Workshop (formerly Children's Television Workshop) for the tagline "No Sesame, all street" that's in the trailer because they believe Jim Henson's son is tarnishing his father's legacy by drawing the association in an ad for such a filthy movie. Who saw that coming?
deanb
From what I've heard it's a fairly amicable disagreement, and not really any hard feelings.

deanb
So we have: Bumblebee Which people seem to be liking for potentially being okay and not fully explosion based. Lego Movie 2 And Mortal Engines Steampunk coolness. Seems kinda dishonoredish.
TheMightyEthan
It's weird how that Wreck It Ralph trailer is like two trailers mashed together. Mortal Engines looks like about the coolest thing ever.

deanb
Damn, that's a cast. Also I'm amused that it's "from the writer of The Martian" and "The director of Cabin in the Woods". These are the same person, and he's writing and directing this.
deanb
Seems...different.
MetalCaveman
Looks like a mix between Predators and AvP:R... So that's a thing

deanb
Eleven is at it again. This'll probably be one of the better non-MCU shared universes. I liked the joke made last week when that first still came out: "The beacons are lit! Godzilla calls for aid!" "And Rodan will answer!" Oh and here's the film with that wife beater Disney still employ and that Rowling is seemingly powerless to remove.... Oh shit yeah there's the Glass trailer too. I still haven't seen Split but heard it's decent:

deanb
This looks kinda neat. Sort of Combine-esque.
deanb
Sure. Seems like it'll capture the "whimsy" a bit better than grown-up Winnie the Pooh had. (though it does have the "dead mum" thing going on). Getting Dick Van Dyke back (though in a different role) I wonder if they'll have Julie Andrews in (though she's seems to be mainly voice roles the past decade or so). Thursday Next
Has anyone posted the Bumblebee trailer? With the Transformers that look like... you know, Transformers, and not the contents of a knife-block stuck to an electromagnet?
