That does look cool, though the CGI in that fight with the dudes in white was pretty bad.

On a related sentiment

Saw this trailer the other day and was thinking "that looks like it could be pretty cool, then the title pops up and "fuck, I'm a tool."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt n Bruce Willis star as..the same man.

tbh I'm not sure on how it all works. Obviously if it was the other way around it creates a grandfather paradox, but here it creates a predestination paradox (since his older self knows everything his younger self does to him, therefore his older self can be two steps ahead). Of course it doesn't matter. All that matters is it's a time travel film with Gordon-levitt n Willis in it.

Eh... Well...

I'm assuming this is going to be a real television series? Interesting, but a lot is holding it back. That even something like batteries don't work, but files on a self-powered USB drive can restore "technology" to the world. Yeah, a world that became a jungle pretty freaking fast too.

Presumably there's more to it than just a self-powered USB drive.

Doesn't help that it looks more like one of those "You gotta keep watching to find out all the secrets!" shows.

The "Produced by JJ Abrhams" bit didn't give that one away?

But yeah the fact chemical based batteries stop would imply the chemical based muscles would too. I'm curious to watch it just to see how they pull off the explanation. Cos an EMP would explain everything stopping, but not for 15 years and with extreme selectivity.

My first thought was that something made electricity quit working (which explains why even older, non-computer-controlled cars would quit, but guns would continue to work), but then our nervous systems should have quit working too.
