deanb
Pretty cool breakdown of some "simple" fixes to polish up some poor/aging CGI work. It's slightly one of those things where hindsight is 20:20 and advances mean that they can utilise stuff like deepfake which wasn't a thing back then. Heck if given actual time there's loads of "hero" quality CGI used these days to stitch actors heads onto stunt actors which wasn't much of a thing back then. 2
TheMightyEthan
Cool related anecdote: in Jurassic Park, way back in 1993, in the scene where they're in the vents and the velociraptors jump up at the ceiling and the girl almost falls, the stunt double accidentally looked straight up at the camera on accident, but rather than re-shoot they had their animators paste the real actress' face onto her. Yet more CGI ground that movie broke.
deanb
While Shazam wasn't the best film this is a great little video exploring....well problem solving of film making, with some examples from the film. And a well earned dig at Cinema Sins.
