toxicitizen
So, I guess that means the new one is Ys VIII? I was hoping for a remake of Ys V but this is cool, too. Although, for a PS4 game, I have to say the visuals are kinda terrible. I'll probably stick with the Vita version then, Memories of Celceta made for a great handheld game and I'm sure this will be no different.
Mal
PC-itized me captain. Knowing me though, I will double dip if that happens. Also knowing myself, I can handle those kind of visuals for the PS4 but yeah, it doesn't look good visually. I don't think Falcom really have any experience in this sort of 3D environment and models. toxicitizen
From what I heard, Falcom no longer have any PC development resources in-house. Seems they're focused on consoles now, that's why all the PC versions of their recent games (like Ys Seven and Celceta) have been outsourced. It's a shame because apparently the studio that usually handles them is shit and their ports end up being buggy messes. So it's not looking too promising for a PC version, I think. toxicitizen
Didn't think to post this earlier because I'd forgotten about this thread but XSEED did another New Year tease and folks on NeoGAF managed to put it together fairly quickly. The third silhouette fits to a character from Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, so it seems like a safe bet that it's coming to Steam this year. They said they were interested in doing it before but it's great to finally see something official. Since Ys V was never translated in english, this is the next one I need to play so I can't wait for more news. Hopefully it's coming sooner rather than later. Off-topic, but I'm really glad to see Corpse Party: Blood Drive on there as well. I still need to play the second game but I really loved the first one. toxicitizen
Pre-order trailer. Looks like it's for GOG only so far, doesn't seem to be up on Steam just yet. Maybe it'll show up later today but I can't remember if XSEED have actually ever done pre-orders on any of their Steam releases.

Mal
I don't ever recall XSEED ever doing Steam pre-orders. Even the much anticipated Trails in the Sky didn't. Not like they needed to since they usually discount the game a bit for the first week.
