deanb
So I have mostly just being having a look at games on sale, any special events etc on what to add to the events roster. Just to try to keep a daily stuff going. It's not always being successful. So I'm looking for suggestions and maybe some feedback on events. I'd love to hear of some cheaper obscure games to that folks might be into. Also games don't have to be on Steam but it's always a preference. Mods too. We used to run a Mod Monday for source mod games. So yeah any ideas, throw them out, maybe times you'd be best to play, and any links to relevant material. (also if these games are P2P, dedicated servers, Steamplay etc)
TheMightyEthan
Monday Night Combat! I know it supports dedicated servers. If it does P2P matchmaking I haven't been able to figure out how yet.
toxicitizen
Killing Floor isn't bad, though it's fairly repetitive and I think has a low limit of players. Plus it can get pretty damn hard based on my experience. Or maybe I just sucked... Oh and I second MNC. I'll be pre-ordering it as soon as I manage to stop playing Civ V. That might take a few hours, though... (posting this from Steam's built-in browser )
TheForgetfulBrain
6pm PST is the usual start of my availability, any night really, though I suppose weekends (for a few weeks at least) should be mostly free.
LaunchOctopus
Could try Goldeneye: Source for Mod Monday? Dunno if you've done it before though Many people have Day of Defeat: Source? I think it could be pretty fun and it goes on sale pretty regularly!
STiger
I've discussed this with various people, most recently Dean... but now seems like the perfect opportunity for a Burnout Paradise Steam event, especially 'cause it's on sale for $5 right now. I'm looking at the 26th of this month for the event date, 'cause it's soon and no one probably really wants to play on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. mergedwarrior
Thread needs more RTS. Supreme Commander 2, Starcraft 2, Sins of a Solar Empire... too.
Mr. McFluffermutton
Thread needs more RTS. Supreme Commander 2, Starcraft 2, Sins of a Solar Empire... too. lol, yes it does. What's funny is that two of those aren't even sold on Steam.
Bouchart
I'm willing to play multiplayer games with you guys but I'm not going out and buying anything new and I'm not using Steam.
TheMightyEthan
How new is "new"? I'm sure a lot of people have older multiplayer games.

Tinkelp
It has been ages since I've played a good round of Science and Industry. I also wouldn't mind getting back into Multiwinia.
berieber
It has been ages since I've played a good round of Science and Industry. I also wouldn't mind getting back into Multiwinia. I went to PC Gamer Showdown and they gave us foam green Multiwinia people (I don't know what they are called). It was pretty cool, I had two and they locked in together quite nicely. deanb
Right Sins we've tried a few in the past I think that's best for starting early on, and definitely a weekend game. We could try at some point. I've only ever played it LAN for MP, so no idea how online MP works, like hooking up with folks n such. Science and Industry I've had suggested in the past but skirted from due to the HL requirement, but I could give it a shot. Looks a quirky game. Multiwinia n Worms I'll put on the cards too. Worms we've done in the past and it was quite liked.

We could try at some point. I've only ever played it LAN for MP, so no idea how online MP works, like hooking up with folks n such. Looks like it's P2P. Everyone logs into the online multiplayer service then selects the game from the list. Games can be marked as friends-only if we want privacy. Science and Industry I've had suggested in the past but skirted from due to the HL requirement, but I could give it a shot. Looks a quirky game. Half-Life is $4.99 now, $7.49 with both expansions. There's plenty more Half-Life mods to play so now's the time to pick it up.
Pirandello
Thursday. Naturally, since it is the day where I have the least classes (one). There's also Sat/Sun, but those already count because they're weekdays. Edited January 12, 2011 by Pirandello
BrainHurtBoy...2
I know this isn't on Steam, but Starcraft II can accommodate a large amount of players through custom matches, and is generally a good game to play with friends, and one that highly encourages team tactics and communication. It has the capacity to be a more than serviceable community builder. Also, I mustn't neglect to add that STARCRAFT RUELZZ TRREAN FTW!!!1!11!!!!1111!!!!! Vintage
Worms Reloaded anyone? Maritan
We definitely should play MNC when it's released on Steam.

deanb
Maybe. I remember a few folks doing this back when it came out. What day would you want it?
NeoStarr
Tuesday sounds about right if others are down. Gameplay sucks if you play it right but it's one of the more fun games to exploit and do stupid tricks in.
