TheMightyEthan
An adventure game developed by the company that made Remember Me, this time seemingly focused primarily on the time-rewindy puzzle solving. Sounds great! That was always the most interesting part of Remember Me to me.
toxicitizen
Oh God, I'm so glad to hear they didn't go under after Remember Me bombed. That game was so fucking close to being truly great. Will be keeping a close eye on this one.
TheMightyEthan
Developer Diary: The first episode comes out January 30th. Really looking forward to it.
toxicitizen
I'm really tempted to pre-order it since it's currently a VIP deal on GMG for like 13 bucks. But all my instincts are telling me to wait for reviews. Edited January 12, 2015 by FLD
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I'm waiting too.
toxicitizen
Not sure if this is new thread-worthy considering this one has only been the two of us but DONTNOD have just revealed another project. http://www.videogamer.com/pc/vampyr/news/dontnod_reveals_horror_rpg_vampyr_2.html I think it's a really interesting idea, there aren't enough horror RPGs these days and rumor is Bioware's Shadow Realm thingie has been axed. If Life is Strange turns out good then this one will definitely be on my radar.
TheMightyEthan
The Shadow Realm thingy was looking like it was gonna be a MOBA anyway. I'll want to see how Life Is Strange plays out before getting excited about another game by them though.
toxicitizen
Yeah, that's the thing. We'll know soon enough, though.
staySICK
I missed this thread before. That video looks really good. But I was psyched about Remember Me and the Memory Remixes and we got... Remember Me. Hopefully this will be better.
TheMightyEthan
This at least is not an action game, it seems to be more along the lines of the Telltale adventures, so hopefully it will do more with the time reversal. TheMightyEthan
Okay, I didn't have much interest in Vampyr when I first heard about it, but people in the comments on RPS are making connections to Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (which now seems obvious, but whatevs) and all of a sudden I'm very much interested. TheMightyEthan
First 20 minutes of the game: I know, ew Kotaku, but it's the first one I found without an annoying voiceover. Apparently they're releasing a demo on Friday along with the full game, and this is a playthrough of that demo. Some of the dialog is silly ("You'll get in hella more trouble..."), but I'm still pretty much 100% on board.
Faiblesse Des Sens
The proper western American phrasing would be "You'll get in hella trouble."
TheMightyEthan
Do people actually still say hella in the northwest?

Popular Post Pojodin
I prefer flying in a plane, but I'll settle for a hella copter.
toxicitizen
Glad to hear there will be a demo. Sounds like they're confident in their game, which is usually a good sign. I'm tempted to skip the demo and just wait for reviews, though. I never got around to watching most of the trailers and diaries so I've been on a bit of an unintentional media blackout. I love going into games blind and I rarely get the chance to do it, so I think I'll do just that.
TheMightyEthan
It's going up for sale on PSN today, and I assume Xbox too when the Xbox store updates tomorrow. It's already on Steam. $5 on all platforms. Steam has a season pass for $20, though it doesn't appear to be up for PSN or Xbox yet.
toxicitizen
I don't think so? Every place I checked (including Steam) says it's coming out on the 30th, which is friday. It even specifies friday in this week's The Drop on the PS Blog.
TheMightyEthan
Sorry, when I said "for sale" I meant preorder. I was on the phone and distracted when I was writing that. It will be available to download on the 30th, you are correct.
toxicitizen
Oh, right. The PC version's been up for pre-order for something like two weeks already so I read that as meaning "coming out today".
TheMightyEthan
Launch trailer: There's also a third and final dev diary about the music and art style. I am hella excited for this game.
toxicitizen
Seems to be reviewing very well so far. The scores listed in the NeoGAF review thread are almost all 8+. The only reservation I have left at this point is their targets for the release of the rest of the episodes. Have they talked about this at all? I'm not sure I want to jump in right away if the next episode is potentially still 6 months out or whatever, but even something as vague as "one episode every other month" would be good enough for me. I mean, I don't really want another Kentucky Route Zero sitting in my library. I really want to play it but when there's been literally an entire year between episodes, I'm not sure it's worth getting invested in the story just yet.
