That's really the only stuff of note. Plus, I wrapped up my $3 phone case "from Santa". I also did that for my Blu Ray of Dune. I do it for the kids to see Santa likes everyone. TheMightyEthan Posted December 29, 2014 Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 My extended family tried a new thing where everybody buys themselves a gift and wraps it up with no label, and we put them in a big pile and each person picks a gift at random to unwrap and then has to try to guess whose it is. It worked really well, and was nice because you could spend as much or as little as you wanted without feeling like you were shortchanging somebody. deanb Posted December 29, 2014 Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 From family I got a few t-shirts, a Doctor Who framed poster thing, a rather nice Doctor Who compendium history of the show thing off my mums boyfriend (I got him nothing :/), the usual Lynx* gift set(s), some rum, calendar and a paper/foam model kit which kept me amused earlier today, and some money. Given I'm getting on I'm thinking I did quite well. Kids get the main bulk of stuff (and like hell they got to go near their nerfguns while us older kids were around ) Off my housemate (there's 4 of us, only 2 of us thought to buy others anything), I got a Yorkshire Tea mug, currently drinking from as I type, some au naturale beard scrub and cream filled chocolate willies. Pojodin Posted December 31, 2014 Report Share Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) I got to take a picture with him several years ago at one of the Packer Hall of Fame banquets. It was awesome! And I was at that game last Sunday. It totally felt like a playoff game, and definitely took away the sting of that first game against the Lions. I wasn't sure we could handle a team that had that good of a defense, so it was a nice confidence boost going into the playoffs.
