TheMightyEthan
Alright, because I'm a nerd for data, and especially charts, I like to keep track of my gaming throughout the year, so here it is. Chartsplosion! I beat a total of 22 games this year (which is actually kinda low for me, last year it was 35...). I was hoping that Dragon Age: Inquisition would make the list, but alas I did not finish it before the new year. I count a game as complete if I finish the campaign, or, for non-"finishable" games (Civ, Minecraft, etc), I play it enough that I consider it sufficiently played to fairly call completed. I only count games I've never finished before, with the exception of remakes, which I do count. For the first time in recent memory my console game time exceeded my PC game time, though PC was still tied with PS4 for number of games beat. PS4 also wins highest average hours per game at 20, which would have jumped to 31 if I had managed to complete Dragon Age in time. My highest number of games completed in one month was March, with 6. Interestingly the release date of games I beat spiked in March and August, rather than November like one might expect. A total of 15 games were on my backlog this year. These are stats just for the games I removed from the backlog: I started with 3 on 1/1/14, and did pretty well until November, where it skyrocketed and I'm finishing up with 8. The blue is actual backlog, the red is a trendline. A game goes on the backlog if: I'm not in the middle of another game when I get it and I don't start it immediately, I am in the middle of another game when I get it and it's not the next game I play after finishing that first game, or I stop in the middle of it. A game comes off the backlog if: I complete it, or I decide I don't intend to ever finish it. What have y'all be playing this year?

TheMightyEthan
Oops, accidentally left MGS: GZ off my backlog, so I actually ended with 9 games.
toxicitizen
Holy crap, my list comes at whopping 59 games beat! Though, unlike Ethan, I do count games I'm replaying. Even if I'm replaying them multiple times during the year, but with the arbitrary condition that I played something else in-between (i.e. if I beat a game on normal and then go on to play it again on hard right after, it still only counts as one). I think the only two games that show up twice are Revengeance and Ground Zeroes, both of which I first played on PS3 and then again on PC a few months later. I also enjoy keeping a list of everything I beat but I don't keep track of as insane an amount of information as Ethan. I do intend to try and note completion time next year, though. I don't keep a strict backlog, either. Mostly, I just went through my Steam library and noted everything I actually intended to play. Then I narrowed it down to "stuff I want to play in the near future" and hardly ever scratched anything off of it. 2015 should be better in that regard, though. My CPU upgrade means I can finally play all the games I already own that I've been putting off because they didn't quite run as well as I'd like. Really looking forward to finally playing Far Cry 3 and Saints Row The Third, in particular. Anyway, here's the list. An asterisk marks a game that I've played before. danielpholt
I can't touch you guys in terms of number of games beaten, but this is the first time I've actively tracked what I beat and when I beat it. Not a bad tally I don't think, especially when coupled with the fact that I watched 200+ films. Believe it or not, I do have a job. I've noticed a serious lack of 3DS games on any of our lists, is this a trend or are we just the three guys who aren't interested in that system? TheMightyEthan
I tend to not play many handheld games at all. I have 1 Vita game in my list and that is it, though I did do quite a bit of PS4 remote play on Vita from my parents' house.
toxicitizen
I don't own a 3DS, if I did then there would definitely be 3DS games on my list. I was planning on getting one a few months ago but I ended up not going through with it. At this point I figure I might as well just wait until the New 3DS comes out in NA. TCP
Just finished all the Microsoft Excel formulas, and here's the result, a pie chart representing the platforms I played on in 2014. I own a Vita and a 3DS and they've both been dormant under my bed for the last year. Hopefully with Gravity Rush 2 and Majora's Mask 3D on the way I'll have an excuse to get them out again. I'm the opposite, use my Vita quite a lot when i'm away from the ps4 to play that. The 3DS I have a back log of DS games to play. I do want Bravely Default at some point though
IDDQD
You guys could really use Howlongtobeat.com. I like to keep track of the games I'm playing too (because there's so fucking many of them in my backlog), but seeing your dedication to keep them documented in microsoft excel really made my efforts look puny.
