toxicitizen
Super Metroid is so good. I'm criminally overdue for another playthrough.
Baconrath
I bought Endless Legend since I like Civ and I've heard good things about it. I've only completed the tutorial and played a few turns in an easy single player session but so far it seems a little...rough? I'm probably going to run through the tutorial again because there's probably some stuff I missed/wasn't explained well enough to my feeble mind/wasn't explained at all. Like, for example, I got some o' them "Wizard Stones" right next to my city. So my natural reaction is to build a Burough-thingy on top of it. I have no idea if that nets me anything from that resource (etc.) or if I need to build a certain thing on top of it. (Also I got Supreme Commander 2 on sale)
Hot Heart
Dogs of War Supposedly a sleeper hit of 2014. Sounds really interesting, sort of like a more balanced and straightforward Cosmic Encounter but with a steampunky, renaissancey theme. You have your band of mercenaries, with your unique player power, and you send aid to battles between warring Houses, three a year across a total of four "years" (rounds). You accumulate more money, tactics cards, VP or influence (value based on how strong the House has grown) by choosing which slots you place your captains into and the outcome of the battles. Form and break alliances constantly, be all sneaky sneaky with your troop deployment plans, play the long game; should be great fun.
Mal
I got the collection but I was mainly after this. I have the original version but I never got into it since well, I think I my get a subpar experience compared to the game with all/most of the DLC.
TheMightyEthan
Especially since in the Director's Cut they fixed those stupid, stupid boss fights. Why I came here: All this P5 hype has tricked convinced me to try the series again with P4G. My wife playing Ni No Kuni might have also had something to do with it. I tried P3P and couldn't get into it because of the grinding and tone/feel of the single dungeon, but apparently the dungeons (plural!) in this one are much better, so I'm going to go for it again. As a bonus it works with the Playstation TV. Yay!
Faiblesse Des Sens
I have the original version but I never got into it since well, I think I my get a subpar experience compared to the game with all/most of the DLC. I don't remember the DLC adding much. It was just one level that had zero impact on the story. I remember it being fun since you had a limited skill set but it's not anywhere close to essential. The benefit of the Director's Cut version is what Ethan pointed out.
deanb
Since it was on sale this weekend. Those of you that've played it seem pretty hyped for it. Tides me over until DA:I drops in price or Witcher 3 comes out.
Mr. GOH!
I bought that Star Wars Humble Bundle thing just so I can have all the old PC Star Wars games. Kinda interested in trying Empire at War.
TheMightyEthan
Empire at War was awesome in my college apartment, when my friends and I would play LAN games all the time.
SomTervo
Pro-tip for EU folk from GAF: Wolfenstein : The New Order on PS4 for 14,99€ on amazon.fr link I went in on this. £15 with delivery to Scotland, I believe. If complete it then trade it in for The Order or Evolve, I'll be getting like £10-15 credit on the thing. Badass. Edit: I better provide an actual update, here... I'm playing it for the first time – my girlfriend is playing it properly since she was wee. It's fucking great. I feel that complaints about the difficulty of puzzles and poor controls are hugely, hugely overblown. It may help that we're playing it together. To be honest, in my recent experience, I'd argue that adventure games should really, truly be played in pairs or groups. The puzzles are easier with more heads, and it's great having a group laugh at good moments. Found'em at a garage sale for $3 each. Steal! I actually love Tenchu z. I mean, it's flawed and compromises most of what made the early games great. But as a generic ninja game where you can ninja around, with some surprisingly deep RPG mechanics, it's fantastic and unique. Mister Jack
Yup. Got confirmation a little while ago, and the website updated to "out of stock" about 20 minutes after I got the email. I think I'm in the clear!
Mal
I was randomly gifted this. Now I'm living the dream by going to Nippon! And this game is like perfect for listening to a music stream (where I got this game) and grading/monitoring my online classes. Edit: Total missed opportunity by the devs for not having pronunciation of the Japanese. Reading straight Katakana is tough. To be honest, in my recent experience, I'd argue that adventure games should really, truly be played in pairs or groups. The puzzles are easier with more heads, and it's great having a group laugh at good moments That's a good idea - although I tend to enjoy stories more in both films and video games when I get to experience them alone. At least I have noticed that the presence of other people often disrupts the first time I watch or play something. But solving puzzles is definitely more fun with other people than trying to struggle on your own.
TheMightyEthan
Is that map of Japan supposed to look like a penis? Cause it looks like a (broken) penis.
Mr. GOH!
I picked up: It's quite interesting so far. I love the art and the concept. I'll post something more substantial later, as this is game has some unique gameplay and design elements I want to play around with a bit more. Also got: Haven't played yet. But the word is good and it boasts similarities to the ever-wonderful FTL, apparently.
TCP
PSN Flash Sale: Which means I finally have a PS4 co-op game that my wife can kind of, sort of, play. EDIT: Also just bought one of my all time FAVOURITE GAMES: The fact that this game wasn't released on a gold cart is a goddamn travesty. toxicitizen
Completely forgot but I grabbed these a few days ago. They were both dirt cheap on Steam. And with that, I now have all the Rain-Slick games. I should probably get around to playing them now... As for Outland, I loved what I played of it on PS3 but I never finished it. It's probably the only PSN game that I considered to be on my backlog but I could never be bothered to actually turn on my PS3 for it. I had been hoping to see it on Steam for years so I was really happy when it randomly showed up a few months ago. Mal
... I hate to admit that I never really played this since back then I never really had the time. With I think (seems like it is a thing, maybe by E3?) Red Dead 2 coming in a year or two and this song being played during a stream recently... I had to fix this injustice. Thankfully I still have my PS3. Shit part is I know what happens in the game.
TheMightyEthan
RDR is quite possibly my #1 game of last gen.

deanb
I feel I'm on of the few folks that didn't get much from RDR.
