toxicitizen
66% off on GMG + 23% off voucher. I've been eyeing it for a little while and that's finally a deal I couldn't say no to. I'm also really tempted to grab Watch_Dogs, which is currently 20 bucks on Steam, but I dunno... I'm not exactly in dire need of another Ubisoft Collect-a-thon™, I still have Liberation and Black Flag to play. And I'm not sure when I'll even find the time to play Alien, since I hear it's actually a pretty long game. Plus, I really need to avoid spending too much this month if I wanna be able to afford that GPU upgrade next month. I've settled on the GTX 960 and it looks like I'll be getting a code for The Witcher 3 along with it!
TheMightyEthan
I would pay liberation and black flag first. I think Watch Dogs got more backlash than it deserved, but it's still basically the same kind of game as the AC series.
toxicitizen
Yeah, that's what I figured. The modern setting of Watch_Dogs is what interests me the most but I don't need a third identical game in my backlog right now. And 20 bucks isn't quite low enough to enter "fuck it" impulse purchase territory.
Hot Heart
Saw it for a reasonable enough price, looks refreshingly different to all the other 'hidden roles' games I've seen and supports enough players for my group of friends. I've never even watched the show. ...I think I have a problem.
toxicitizen
...I think I have a problem. The first step is admitting it. Now, if TV has taught me anything, the next step is for us to berate you until you break down completely and feel forced to change because of the intense peer pressure.
Hot Heart
But tabletop games are so much more interesting than video games right now! Edited March 20, 2015 by Hot Heart

Mr. GOH!
Third ep dropped, so I picked this up. Enjoying it tremendously so far. Very charmed by the intro credits sequence in the style of the show. Not so charmed by the sometimes atrocious background environment textures.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, those background textures can be just horribad at times.
toxicitizen
Oh they're already 3 eps in? Guess it's due for a 40-50% sale then. I'll pick it up when that happens. Although, I should probably get around to playing TWD S2 first...
TCP
Bought GoT episode 3 last night. Finished it in probably an hour and a half, but I really enjoyed it. Edited March 25, 2015 by The Cowboy Poet
TheMightyEthan
You're buying it episode by episode?
TCP
Fuck yeah, money is no issue for TCP. I made a huge mistake not buying the seasons pass and I see that now.
danielpholt
Kinda tempted to have a look at this. How different is it to to Wolf/TWD? I'm growing somewhat tired of the Telltale format, although I'm in love with Thrones. I assume it's set in the world of the show and not the book?
TCP
Imagine the TWD/Wolf games without a fucking shit IP attached to it, that's Game of fuckin' Thrones, Dan. It's in the show's continuity not the books. Edited March 25, 2015 by The Cowboy Poet
TheMightyEthan
It's in the show's continuity, yes.
danielpholt
I'll take a look. Can't imagine it'll be long before they throw the season pass on for 75% off or something, especially with the new season around the corner. Mr. GOH!
It's Telltale GoT. It's kind of amazing how Telltale has written a story that, so far, both parallels and interweaves with the show's story. The game has touched upon some of the main themes of GoT very well and does a great job exploring the tensions among loyalties to one's House, to the Iron Throne, and to one's direct lord. It feels a lot like the show, except focused on a smaller number of characters and locations. Well, there's less nudity, so far. Violence aplenty, though! I am also impressed at just how much use the game gets out of their 'maggot' models; it's very appropriate for a GoT game to have plenty of scenes featuring squirming maggots in different roles. Alex Heat
I think I'm done buying video games for a while. Fortunately, nothing that really grabs my attention is coming out until next year (I would like Arkham Knight, but I'll just hold out for the inevitable GotY version). toxicitizen
Sega publisher week-end on Steam. I've been absolutely loving Alien: Isolation so I was really tempted to get the season pass. But I still haven't tried Survivor mode and the season pass content is mostly just maps for that. So, I think I'll hold off on that one. But, since they're not included in the season pass, I did get those two story DLCs that recreate specific moments from the movie. Should be fun. And speaking of fun, rewatching Alien and then playing Isolation has been a pretty enjoyable experience so far. So, I figured the obvious next step is to follow that by rewatching Aliens and then playing this Hopefully it'll be enjoyable in that "so bad it's good" kinda way. If not, well it was only four bucks.
TheFlyingGerbil
Messed up a bit to be honest. Bought this on sale and meant to buy the trilogy but by the time I'd bought an eShop card the sale had ended. The whole thing's a bit weird anyway as Dual Destinies is the fifth game, but the forth, Apollo Justice isn't available in the eShop so even if I waited for the trilogy to go on sale again to play DD, there'd still be a gap in the story. Thinking of buying SMT IV with the money I've got now. Never played a game in that series before, and feel like I should as I hear it mentioned a lot.
