Mister Jack
Seeing that many of us are either getting or planning to get this game, I thought a dedicated thread would be prudent. I just started myself, but so far I'm enjoying it and I have a couple of multiplayer hunts under my belt. It's funny, really. I always hated this series before but now I'm starting to understand why it has so many fans.
CorgiShinobi
I think posting this here will be essential for anyone jumping into Monster Hunter. Official Online Manual: http://game.capcom.co.jp/manual/MH4U/en/ My only complaint was that some of the game's mechanics were still left a bit vague. Not to mention it's up to you to find which weapon you prefer and there happens to be quite the assortment of weapons. I personally wanted to get into the new Insect Glaive, but so far I don't have the patience for some of its deeper gameplay. Not to mention I've never been a fan of large and/or staff weapons. Dual Blades for me!
deanb
I got Monster Hunter 3 free with my 2DS. I've yet to really touch it (the fact they throw in a free game that fills up the space of the included SD card is a big part of this).
TheMightyEthan
What the fuck, there's no Wii U version?
Mister Jack
So how exactly do you get more felynes in this game? I'm still just using the one I started with and I'm not clear on how you get additional ones.

Seems you have to find them while out and about, but you can also receive Palico from other players.
Mister Jack
I'm thinking of trying out a gunner but I'm not really sure whether to go with the bow or light bowgun. Any insight on that?
