TheMightyEthan
"and even factoring in zero anti-aliasing support and a lower resolution, in many scenarios it looks as good as the 360 version, if not better." I'll take "actually looks better in real life" than technically better any day. I owned the 360 version BTW. I don't think I own the PS3 version at all. That's their subjective opinion, which does not align with mine at all. In all their comparison shots the PS3 version looks blurry and jaggy compared to the 360 version, imo. I will concede that in motion it often looks nearly indistinguishable. But again, I was just using that to come to the conclusion that I don't think the 360 version of GTA V will be /worse/ than the PS3 version, so the $20 credit was worth it. I fully expect both versions of this game to be functionally indistinguishable at all times.
Hot Heart
I bought the 360 version because there'll be a lot of driving and shooting and, even with RealTriggers on the dualshock 3, the 360 controller is far better LET'S DO THIS
FredEffinChopin
PS3 Was that Rockstar club invite from someone here? If so, good thinking/planning. If not, I need to figure out wth. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to some online play.

TheMightyEthan
Those aren't nearly as low-poly as I anticipated from your tweet. They're actually more detailed than I would have expected from a current-gen game.

TheMightyEthan
They probably look worse cause they'll have no/bad jiggle.
madbassman39
Eh, the character models have never been super fantastic in the GTA games. At least there are boobs in the game!

Faiblesse Des Sens
GTA4 was amazing. Kill yourself. Sorry it didn't have enough cliches like 3-SA and actually required some skill unlike 3-SA. Also what makes the GS edition so special besides that snazzy case?

Mister Jack
Maybe four hours or so into Franklin's story? It's early game and it's related to a side event and not the main story, but I still felt like I should probably spoiler it.
Mal
A few hours in. Sooner if you don't dick around. Also does he die when the mission is over? It surprised the fuck out of everyone when the mission ended and a seemingly random robbery attempt turned into a gunfight with Packie and his friend dead.It has to be random... right? Saturnine Tenshi
actually required some skill unlike 3-SA Are we really saying this about any non-competitive game? (Not that it's much better where competitive games are concerned, but at least there's some basis for the want of skill.)

Saturnine Tenshi
The only thing I'm getting out of this is the same thing I'd get out of a 12-year-old saying Counter-Strike is the best game evar because it requires "skill". Edit: edited for quotations and "evar". Edited September 18, 2013 by Saturnine Tenshi
Faiblesse Des Sens
Why would you get that out of it? I'm pointing out that GTA4 is disliked by some people because unlike previous games you actually had to learn how to play it. A welcome change to the lock-on and spray gameplay of its 3D predecessors. Edited September 18, 2013 by Faiblesse Des Sens
TheFlyingGerbil
Has there been any hints there may be a next gen release along with the PC one? I guess they'd want to keep it very quiet so as not to jeopardise current gen sales. ... hmmm, just looking around and it seems there are hints at a PS4 version at least, in the 360 source code. Thursday Next
GTA4 was amazing. Kill yourself. Sorry it didn't have enough cliches like 3-SA and actually required some skill unlike 3-SA. Also what makes the GS edition so special besides that snazzy case? GTA4 was bleak, bland and dull, the gameplay was fine but the story was dreary beyond belief. Also, cliches are not bad things, they only become cliches in the first place because they are good and people like them.
