TheMightyEthan
Looks neat, though the fact that your car is actually, officially called the "Magnum Opus" is pretty dumb.
Thursday Next
Yeah... It's not a very "mad" name. To be honest I'd have preferred a self deprecating name, like "The Bucket", or something.

TheMightyEthan
So reviews are coming in and it looks like this game is pretty good. I'm not necessarily surprised by that, but it's nice nonetheless.
Thursday Next
I'm still vexed about the Magnum Opus thing. Will be picking this up though.
TCP
This is weird. I figured the game had to be pretty bad, which would explain why the game has 0 hype and they never bothered to move it out of MGSV. Like, even releasing next week would have made a huge difference for this game (or better yet, released it when the movie was in theatres.....). TheMightyEthan
(or better yet, released it when the movie was in theatres.....). That's the kind of thinking that leads to rushed, shitty movie tie-in games.
toxicitizen
It looks alright but I see no need to be in a hurry for this one. Even if it wasn't for MGSv, it was almost 50% off before it even came out. I expect it'll drop in price fairly quickly.

Mr. GOH!
I can't tell if those videos mean that this is a good game or that it is a bad game.
IDDQD
Played it for about 12 hours and got bored. Probably never gonna touch it again. Gameplay shines the most when you're in a car, but sadly about 40% of the time you're gonna be on foot, doing shallow and repetitive version of Arkham combat and wandering around enemy bases. The most disappointing thing about it is that there's barely any story to go with so I don't really feel the incentive to at least finish the "storyline" missions. The gist of it is that you're Max and you need to build a new car to reach someplace called Plains of Silence. End of story. Now go and collect shit for about 30 hours. I like the way game looks and there's a bunch of small details that make it really enjoyable, but honestly, last time I felt so uninterested in finishing a videogame was when I had to load games from cassette tapes on Commodore 64. And it is kind of like that - just fire it up when you have an hour to blow off without having to get too invested in it.
danielpholt
Ditto above. I've put in roughly 4 hours at this point, and I'm struggling to motivate myself to play anymore. The driving is fun, real fun. Crashing into things, flying over sand dunes; all great. The rest of the game? Tedious. They even managed to turn leveling up into a meandering bore-fest. It looks and runs great though, which I guess coming from WB should be a relief at this point (PC).
