Strangelove
I need more podcasts. This is what I'm currently listening to - The Nerdist - This is basically Chris Hardwick shooting the shit with famous people. Lots of comedians. It's good. How Did This Get Made? - They analyze bad movies with comedians. The Indoor Kids - this is a videogame podcast hosted by a couple. Theyre comedians, so it's entertaining. WTF - Marc Maron talking to famous people, often times shit gets real. Talk is Jericho - wrestler Chris Jericho talking to famous people. A lot of wrestlers. Steve Austin Show - half the time there's famous people, half the time is Stone Cold being hilarious by himself. You made It Weird - This is like a longer friendlier WTF. Comedy Bang Bang - This is basically a 2 hour skit being run into the ground each time. Im not a big fan of it. Im actually not a big videogame podcast apart from the Indoor Kids. I hate to say it, but often times I find the people who host too hardcore about videogames. Like they dont have interests in other things like film, tv or music. They seem to be oblivious to the outside world and that bugs me. Of course I base this on IGN and the Bombcast. I dont like either. Its like hearing the videogame awards. Just very awkward for everyone involved. If there's better stuff, please let me know.
deanb
I've been recommended No Such Thing As a Fish before now. But I imagine it only works if you watch QI, though it's more about the "QI Elves" than the panelists, and about the weird little facts n such. In general I don't really do Podcasts. Struggled my way through one my hosuemates were on for International Tabletop Day, but other than that they're not really for me.
Mr. GOH!
I listen to: How Did This Get Made: As SL said, it's comedians analyzing (bad) movies, but it's both funny and kind of, I dunno, heartfelt? The three hosts, Paul Scheer, Jason Manzoukas, and June Diane Rapheal, seem to be really honest in their impressions, but they riff on each other because they're all comedians and friends (two of the three are married to each other). Their analysis isn't technical, usually. This was my go-to podcast for when I'm working out because it is a great distraction and fun to listen to, but I don't miss anything if I tune out while doing a heavy set of weightlifting. Welcome to Night Vale: Creepy Comedy podcast whose conceit is that it's a daily half-hour(ish) radio news program from the creepy fictional town of Night Vale (New Mexico, I believe). The vast majority of episodes feature only the host reading news stories and updates on the stories throughout the program. A typical story might be something about a menacing but sapient cloud that wants to run for the school board, or about the latest disappearances of citizens who dared mention or, worse, visit the forbidden dog park. It's my favorite podcast.

TheFlyingGerbil
My favourite podcasts are: Caustic Soda, they take one grim topic each episode (e.g. execution, bacteria, royalty, serial killers etc.) and have a fun chat about it. I second the Answer Me This! recommendation. Uhh Yeah Dude is good. sounds similar to ones you listen to so I think you'd like it. I'd warn you I'm working my way through from 2006 and am at 2010 so no idea what the new episodes are like As for gaming podcasts, if you want one that doesn't take itself seriously I love Gamecentral Podcast, there's a bit of news and a lot of chatting and joking. Jump Kick Punch seems good too, but I've only listened to a couple of episodes - there's more news in that but it's still funny and they talk about movies and comics too. The other gaming podcasts I listen to are gay. If you don't want your news section to be called "queens on the scene" you may want to skip but I love them so it wouldn't be fair on them not to add them and give them a bit of exposure: Qoopa Klub, Videogame Realness, Gayme Bar
