madbassman39
Thanks for the recommendation Fred. I checked it out and decided it was worth a purchase! I'll probably come back and know how it turns out.
Strangelove
When youre vaping, youre vaping your life away. Bro.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I think the bigger problem with vaping is that you look like an absolute knob when you do it.
CorgiShinobi
I don't have much of an opinion on vaping as the reasons for and the method of vaping seem to vary greatly on a personal basis. Some want to have a cigarette alternative; some want a different method of smoking weed; others purely like the process and technology of vapors. I've seen people carry around smartphone-sized "vaporizers" and can't imagine they're satisfied with that device. If you don't have a purse, you're using a whole pocket to carry that type around. Use to know a few guys that would run off to Colorado and get, and forgive my ignorance, some type of weed mixture. Always came off to me as asinine and expensive to go through the trouble to vape it. Otherwise, have at it. Well, so long as you're not going to make a scene on an airplane. You can go through the checklist of how vaping is different from smoking, but generally most people don't care to sit next to someone who's exhaling something outside of carbon dioxide. Faiblesse Des Sens
The weed vapes I have no problem with. My friend has the latest Pax and that shit blew my mind. He described it well as a "digital pipe." It's the same size as a pipe many of us used to carry around as useless teenagers and 20-somethings but its a much better way to smoke. No liquids. No oils. Grind up the weed like a fucking normal stoner and hit that shit discretely. Unfortunately it's like $300.
madbassman39
I've had the Vaporfi for a month or so now and I have to say it is pretty amazing. It took a while to get used to, it requires sitting for a minute once its heated up, but overall its really great! Again thanks for the suggestion Fred! danielpholt
My GF is a 'Vaper' and she's constantly buying new parts, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a vape that's a little more...premium? Maybe some interesting flavours?
FredEffinChopin
@MBM I'm glad it worked out! I understand the tabletop jobs are usually reliable, but I hear the handhelds are hit or miss. Good to hear that that one was hit. @danielpholt Is it only the "juice" you're interested in, or hardware as well? I've done some moderate hardware experimentation, and found less variation in quality than I expected. An older battery just died today, coincidentally, so I'm looking for something new (and inexpensive) to try out as well. If it's just juice, two of my favorites are both from virginvapor.com. One is (now) called Romancing the Strawberry, and the other Kona Coffee Milkshake. The former seems a little bit weaker in the flavor department since it was renamed, but I've only bought one bottle since then, and it could be a fluke. I'm still very happy with that bottle though. It aims for more of an actual strawberry flavor, rather the kind of jollyrancher thing that some other strawberry flavors out there have. The Kona is one of the more pleasant, sweet coffee flavors I've tried. There are strong coffee flavors out there, but they're not up my alley. I've had decent experiences with others on the site as well, and some negative ones as well (the banana nut thing was a disaster). They used to customize the shit out of their juice, from the PG/VG blend, to the nicotine level, to flavor strength, and even custom flavor blends. They cut that out though, and I think all their juices are now 100% VG as well. I suspect that the move towards uniformity has something to do with quality control while serving a greater amount of customers, but that's pure speculation. SmokelessImage's 555 is a good one as far as tobacco flavors go, though I wouldn't say it tastes that much like tobacco. Most tobacco flavors don't though, imo. They also have a good banana nut flavor. *edit* Oh, and I like Halo & SmokelessImage's Freedom Juice flavors. Another tobacco flavor. Dirty... in a good way. danielpholt
Hardware would be nice too, although I know nothing about this stuff. She keeps buying new (I don't know what they're called so here goes) liquid containment parts for her pen styled vape, and I'm just wandering if I could get her something that maybe lasts a little longer? Failing that juice is a good one, I could get a few different ones for her to try, she'd like that. What do I need to know about Nicotine levels? She originally started to aid with quitting smoking, but I'm not sure if she uses juice with Nicotine. I could find out?
FredEffinChopin
I've taken my nicotine level down to the lowest that places offer, which usually is .3-.6 mg... It's weird, because I used to see the amount represented as %, as in volume. Maybe they still are, and they're just leaving the "%" out. The way it's often written makes it seem as if the amount isn't scaling with the quantity of liquid in the bottle though, and is just a set amount. Anyway, I would suggest that when/if she's settled on a flavor she likes, she try that same flavor in two different strengths to see how low it can get while still being satisfying. I've yet to try liquid without any nicotine at all, but that's coming soon. I prefer keeping it low though, so I can choose to vape heavily if I want to without having to worry about encountering a "nicotine rush". So it sounds like she's using cartomizers, which should resemble these: If she is, and if she's buying them pre-filled, the first thing I would suggest is that she get a hold of blanks and juice separately, and refill them herself. It's much cheaper that way, not difficult or time consuming, and it opens up many more options for juice. I'm not sure which battery she's using, and I guess that would be the first step towards figuring out which cartomizers to buy. The threads (the part that screws that cartomizer onto the battery) generally come in two types, 808 and 510, but there are most likely some brands out there that are totally proprietary. Let me know, and I'll be happy to give you my $.02 on which direction to go for a new cartomizer, or even battery if she feels like she wants a totally new setup. Or let me know if I've misunderstood the configuration, or the problem of them not-lasting long being one of them being pre-filled.

She's been re-filling something in her vape, so I'd assume it's these things for sure. This thing is a hell of a lot more confusing than I was expecting. They should just make a 'Harry Potter' themed Vape and be done with it.
