TCP
Am I the only one who thinks this game looks great? This might be the most promising looking Nintendo game in........ uhhhh.......... when did Wind Waker come out??
Mister Jack
It looks alright, but would I pay 60 bucks for it? Ehhhh....
TheFlyingGerbil
I can only imagine disappointing and frustrating myself at every turn trying to design awesome levels so it would have to be a tempting price depending on what sort of content Nintendo provides with it. Can't deny I want to stomp around in a giant high heel though. Edited June 22, 2015 by TheFlyingGerbil
TheRevanchist
I like it. Making my own Mario levels sound so badass.
CorgiShinobi
I'm not really one for creation-oriented gameplay now. I mean, I use to with games like LittleBigPlanet and WarioWare D.I.Y., but I just don't have much patience anymore. But it does look pretty cool. deanb
LBP was just a pain to use though. The creation tools are the crux of a game like this. NodNationRacers for all it's faults with loading was great at creation, just drive where you want the track to go then tweak & refine. TheFlyingGerbil
It would be cool if it had a mario paint style music maker in it.
TCP
Yeah I feel if there was a sequencer in it, we would have heard something about it by now.... but it would be awesome!
TheFlyingGerbil
Michel Ancel has designed a level for Mario Maker. Rather handily, the video is in French with no subtitles, so I've no idea if the level is included in the game or not, but Super Mario Maker will launch with 60 levels included, built by Nintendo and others. Makes it sound like there will be other "guest levels". It would be cool if they have a special section for special levels, e.g tied to new game releases, famous developers etc.
Mal
I'm currently watching AGDQ and I have to say, this game is perfect for such events.
danielpholt
I know I'm in the minority here, but Super Mario Maker just hasn't grabbed me in the slightest. The level design stuff fell entirely flat (namely because IDK WTF 2doew) and most of the custom made levels that I'm trying are simply..unfun. So PXOD, I ask; what am I doing wrong? TheMightyEthan
Nothing, I have 0 interest in it for the same reason (except I knew enough about myself to know it wouldn't interest me without buying it first).
TCP
Well, playing levels made by your friends is fun, but playing some crappy level a stranger made? Not fun. The best levels to play are the event levels, made by Nintendo or whoever.
