TheFlyingGerbil
Anyone been playing Agar.io? It's a browser game but it's on mobile now too. I was wondering what everone's high score is. Mine's about 7,400. It's pretty addictive but sometimes seems frustratingly random, like I'm sure the split sizes don't always seem right. The other game I'm playing is seabeard, it is sort of fun but I' re got to the point now where everything takes a lot of time if you don't pay any money which I won't. If you could just buy the game for a one off fee to make the money gathering quicker I would but it' sine of those that nickel and dime you. E.g. Buy 5,000 coins for £x but they would only last for one or two challenges so if you don't want it to become a slog fest you would be pumping serious money in so I will be getting to the point soon where I just stop playing which is a shame. Mal
Right, I remember now why I hate mobile games: shitty controls. I should say that I love the browser version though. Playing as a "Giver" is kind of neat. Some people actually stop chasing you and allow you to do your thing. TheFlyingGerbil
something to do with my touchpad means it keeps randomly performing the 'back' action so you can imagine how frustrating that is if you're doing well and it pops itself back to the title screen. Mind you in the tablet version I keep pressing the split button by accident which is only slightly less annoying Edited July 31, 2015 by TheFlyingGerbil
deanb
ATM I'm playing Alphabear...which talking of *heads to Games You've Bought thread*. It's pretty fun, mental flexing. Though many times you're gonna have stone blocks when it chucks like 8 letters at you at once. I've also being jumping around a bunch of the Amazon games I've acquired over the years to see what I've actually acquired. Most I have are like hidden object/point n click stuff which I guess are "guilty pleasures" (even though I hate the concept/term). Though once called "Sticks" I'd figured as an MP game, which it is, but I'd never had a chance to play it. Anyway did it just on my own versus myself and found out it's "squares" (which Wiki tells me is also "Dots n boxes" which I guess also makes sense). Which I'd have known, it'd be a good thing to play against wee ones on car journeys. Mason recommended Shibuya the other day, though not had a chance to play it yet. TheMightyEthan
I spent countless hours in college classes playing Dots and Boxes (didn't know it had a name) against one of my friends.
TheRevanchist
I picked up Adventure Time Puzzle Quest. It's a turn-based RPG-lite (in very simple terms) utilizing the Bejeweled clone scoring as it's basis. It's buggy and loses my progress at times. But, so far, it's the best Adventure Time game I've played, which kinda tells you how bad the Adventure Time games are.
TheFlyingGerbil
Anyone played Godville? Someone at work recommended it and I just don't get it. Want to know if I'm missing something.
deanb
Never even heard of it.
TheFlyingGerbil
It's an RPGs but the 'player' is controlled by the cpu. You're a god that inspires the adventurer but the only thing you have to do is revive him if he dies, you can try to talk to him but he won't necessarily do what you want and you don't even know what you can ask him to do as it's hand typed by you not a list of commands . That means it's hard to know what you're achieving
deanb
Sounds a lot like Majesty, but one-on-one (Majesty you control a town, but you put out contracts to get people to hunt things down, explore the map, etc)
TheFlyingGerbil
With a rumoured new razr on the way would anyone like a modern flip phone? Something like In the film 'her' looked really nice, with leather outside and metal hinges it looked like a lovely little book as much as a tech device. If both internal sides had a screen most apps would work well, maybe just games would be a problem and I suppose videos would look bad with a break. But also they keep threatening foldable screen tech though I doubt that's likely any time soon.
