TheMightyEthan
Fucking buildings. I've always hated them.
WTF
I'm surprised that it's lasted 6 pages with no one bringing up the Batman: AA box art. I'm waiting to see the inevitable Greatest Hits version (for NA) of that version which will ultimately get rid of Batman as well from the cover . I've just posted the platinum hits version as well just to show the real estate even before the GOTY version hit. I know there's a GOTY platinum somewhere. deanb
Companies really need to start providing PDF files on their site to allow us to download and print out our own clean covers.
TheMightyEthan
There's nothing wrong with the box art itself, it's just all the crap covering it up that's the problem.
「Advent Chaos」
For every action there is an equal and oppositie reaction. Checked my mail today and got some "Royal Mail"! Turns out I got a EU MGS4. The following picture shows the EU MGS4 box, The limited Edition US Box and normal MGS4 US. On the TV is metal Gear Online (EU) updating. deanb
Yeah the one I posted is the German version on the old PS3 boxes, so you've got a English one (you can tell cos it's got the BBFC rating and I guess the Royal Mail thing too) in the new style. Not as terrible, but still pretty bad.
WTF
There's nothing wrong with the box art itself, it's just all the crap covering it up that's the problem. Well that's always the problem these days. Sort of why even though I'm indifferent about steeltins I like the current Sony Steeltins for PS3 games as the sleeve removes off all the logos with it and you're left with a nice shiny collectible that's only £2 more than the regular game most of the time (for me). WTF
Shame the spindles in SteelBooks are absolute shit. True but it's only going to sit in my shelf so it should be fine, till I have kids of course.
Thursday Next
It's unfair to blame crappy German boxart on publishers. They have half as much space to work with as other territories.

True but it's only going to sit in my shelf so it should be fine, till I have kids of course. SteelBooks are OK as long as you don't intend on removing the contents at any time. (I just have a grudge, seeing as my ME2 disc snapped thanks to one. And I always have to be extra careful with my copy of Uncharted 2.) WTF
I prefer Steelbooks to the cardboard ones that some of my PC games come in. Lol while yes most of them do not even require the box, it would be nice if they used some firmer glue. it's really annoying for the thing to fall apart as soon as you get it. Cardboard boxes are on my shitlist more than steelbooks (especially since it fails on so many levels these days).
Hot Heart
Wow, I haven't seen a PC game sold in cardboard for a long time. Last I can remember buying was...Age of Empires II, maybe?
WTF
Well OK maybe not that kind of cardboard. Not the one Psychonauts or The Sims etc came in. But rather the cheap ass paper cardboard ones that most Blizz games come in. Blizzard uses good gum though. THQ tried it with CiV5. It was terrible and so cheap... Good thing it's a steamworks title. But still! But yeah I still have those old cardboard boxed games lol. I was just going through some old stuff and boy am I glad that currently it's either DVD sized or Blu-Ray sized - though curse you Aksys for making your Blazblue limited editions in a DVD shape rather than Blu-Ray one like Demon's Souls or GT5. TheMightyEthan
Nothing's wrong with my Civ V box... What on earth are you doing to them that's causing them to fall apart?

Yantelope V2
Companies really need to start providing PDF files on their site to allow us to download and print out our own clean covers. Pirates would love that. Actually though I'm fairly certain there are whole sites dedicated to box art, some custom, simply for legitimate purposes I'm sure. My friends did this for their Netflix DVDs for PS3 and for Wii Sports and some other stuff that didn't come in standard jewel cases.
TheMightyEthan
I've done it for a couple of games I bought used at Gamestop that didn't have the original boxes. Also, that Castlevania thing is fake right? Please tell me it's fake...
Faiblesse Des Sens
Why would pirates love that? No one fucking burns the games onto discs. What is this, the year 2000?

TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I knew those box-within-a-box DS covers existed, I was just really hoping they hadn't actually added another layer.
