toxicitizen
Finished idling for all my Steam card drops and made about 20 bucks selling them, decided to add another 20 to my wallet and use that as the budget for my last round of purchases. Those are all games I've had my eye on for a while, so it's good to finally add them to the backlog. Infinifactory is from the dev that made SpaceChem, so I'm really looking forward to trying that one. Also, hopefully this means I'll finally beat FFIV. I'm pretty sure it's the first FF I ever played and, even though I've started it numerous times over the years, it's one of the few mainline entries that I've never finished. With V already on Steam and IX finally coming to PC in the near future, I'm kinda tempted to set myself the goal of finally playing all the ones I'm missing this year. deanb
Picked up Satellite Reign. I like Cyberpunk type worlds and a bunch of the reviews compare it favourably with DoW2, which I quite enjoyed that kind of RTS-ness.
toxicitizen
I thought the old Syndicate was the obvious comparison but I guess DoW2 makes sense as well given the squad-based RTS thing. Not sure when I'll manage to give it a shot but I'm really looking forward to it, I've had my eye on it since the Kickstarter. I thought Syndicate looked great but I tried it when it released on GOG and it was a bit too dated for me. So, a proper modern spiritual successor is more than welcome. deanb
Picking up an Apple keyboard from CEX with a colleague, and spotted on the back shelf a Guitar Hero On Tour for DS for 75p so picked it up for my little sister. toxicitizen
It was a bit of an impulse purchase but I've been hearing great things about it for years, so it's not like it wasn't already on my radar. Besides, I love supporting random PC ports, however late they may be. The 40$ CAD price was a bit outside of impulse range but a 25% off voucher on GMG rectified that. Now to wait until next friday to see what all the fuss was about...

Now to wait until next friday to see what all the fuss was about... I got it as well because of the voucher. As for if it is worth it... the combat looks nice. So it has that going for it. I actually want to be a mage since the magic looks so badass.
deanb
I'll join this bandwagon (esp with the GMG voucher pointed out). Had played the demo on PS3 way back in the day and enjoyed it. Can't remember why I didn't pick it up (though I remember a large part of playing demos back in the day was cos that was free n I was unemployed). Hot Heart
Here, all you guys are talking about Dragon's Dogma and showing off all these things and I just bought, uh... Crazy Coconuts You use your monkey catapult thing to fling poop...uh, coconuts into cups in order to build a pyramid and win. Not really language dependent (I bought the German version) and I've played my friend's copy. Now I have my own for other friends and family gatherings, plus it means we can do up to 6 player games now (I'm not sure it's supported/recommended beyond that...)

toxicitizen
Damnit, I should've named the thread "Video Games You've Bought 2016", just to mess with Hot Heart! What a missed opportunity... Anyway, I was gonna wait until next month but... I figured I might as well go for it now while the 25% voucher is still active on GMG. I grabbed the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, the reinforcement pack and a soundtrack. Ended up costing me about 80 bucks after conversion to CAD$, which is actually how much just the base game would've cost me directly through Steam. Thank God for GMG because that's just fucking insane. No game is worth 80 bucks just for the base game...

CorgiShinobi
I do highly recommend Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. I got it back on PS3 when it was just Dragon's Dogma. Of course, I had to deal with Capcom's BS of issuing the game as a brand new separate game and not an expansion for Dark Arisen. I didn't get it until it was on PS Plus sometime later. Only piece of advice I can give you is not to do New Game Plus. It doesn't scale with your level, so it drags in the beginning when it use to be a true challenge. Trust me, there's a lot of post-game content that is challenging and more rewarding than playing the game over with all your new powers and powerful gear. Mister Jack
Pretty much a total fanservice game, but I've been binging on the manga recently and I'm all the way up to Steel Ball Run, which basically means I've read about 25 years' worth of chapters at this point and I've got Jojo on the brain. Hot Heart
Damnit, I should've named the thread "Video Games You've Bought 2016", just to mess with Hot Heart! What a missed opportunity... Paaaahahahahaha. But then how would you guys know all about the hottest new releases in the world of cardboard?! Anyway, I actually bought a video game. Everyone was raving about that Tales from the Borderlands and it was £6.49 in the PSN sale so I went for it. HAPPY?!?!?
TCP
Just bought a little Vita gem called Taco Master. It's a game about tacos. I love games. I also love tacos. So naturally, this game should be perfect for me. But really I'm playing it for the trophies. TheMightyEthan
Went a little preorder crazy with the new Amazon Prime deal.
toxicitizen
At 10 bucks, curiosity got the best of me. I've never been a huge fan of MMOs but I've wanted to give it a shot ever since I heard it's a pretty solid FF and can be played solo for the most part. Worst case scenario, I'll just play for the free month.
Baconrath
I bought a used copy of La Pucelle: Tactics for PS2 off Amazon for the cheap. I keep catching myself trying to do Disgaea stuff :I
Hot Heart
An eBay win that ended today unchallenged. Smash Up and one of the good expansions (people tend to think the Cthulhu one is bad). It's used but the cards were all sleeved and it looks like new in the photos. Bargain at £24.
CorgiShinobi
So I got this Life is Strange game for the PS4 through Amazon and the amazing Prime deal on new games. Don't know if ya'll have heard about it, but I guess it's a Top Ten game of 2015.
Eleven
Are you cereal? It's still eligible for the prime deal? Wowzers! That's a hella cool game though! Hope you enjoy it!
