TCP
I also partook in the E3 20% off deal, preordering some newly announced games and some games I missed last go around. TheMightyEthan
Hey, for once you guys are getting a deal we aren't. I went ahead and preordered a few games that are coming out after my Prime subscription expires, so I could lock down the Prime 20% off preorders discount: Persona 5 Horizon: Zero Dawn The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and then just for good measure, even though my Prime won't have expired, The Last Guardian I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually a little iffy on TLG. I may well cancel it before release.
deanb
Dang even the EU release of Last Guardian has the shit cover this time around. Also I need to go through n work out when the games I'm wanting to play are coming out.
TheMightyEthan
It's $5 on Ubi's store right now (activates on Steam) and since I was already planning to replay it before MD comes out I figured might as well get the enhanced version. toxicitizen
From what I've heard, "enhanced" doesn't really apply. Apparently they built it on an older build instead of the most recent version, so they ended up reintroducing a bunch of bugs that had already been patched. Also, I'm assuming because it was originally built for Wii U, it actually sometimes looks worse than the original. When I did my replay last year, I ended up sticking with the original version. Having Missing Link included in the campaign is a nice bonus, though. Might eventually give this version a playthrough anyway, just to see how well it fits in its intended spot. TheMightyEthan
I was mostly wanting the alternative boss options. And because you said that I looked up some comparison videos, and yeah in a lot of ways I like the original better in terms of appearance, but it's all the kind of stuff I'd only notice seeing it side-by-side. Strangelove
Jamming The Missing Link in there should have been optional. It really messes with the pacing of the game.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that was the one thing that made me hesitate.
Strangelove
The extra options during boss fights is worth it. Even with pacing issues, it's still overall the best version. It just would have been even better if they gave you a choice whether The Missing Link was put in there.
Strangelove
Shadow Of Mordor Megaman Legacy Collection Rayman Legends Mortal Kombat XL Overwatch Origins Edition I think Im set til next year. Outside of Deus Ex(which Im still not sure about) and The new Destiny expansion, Im not really seeing anything else I would want thats coming up. Seems all the good shit is coming out early next year.
deanb
Somewhat amazed not seen anything crop up that's Shadow of Mordor-like, or even a sequel of sorts. (In fact given the game being "Middle-Earth" instead of "Lord of the Rings" I'd figured we were in for a run of games set in that area but not following the fellowships activities but that's the only one to surface so far). Thought for certain other devs would be all over that.
TheFlyingGerbil
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Not the nx version then?
CorgiShinobi
Gotta give your Wii U its proper swan song. Unless the NX is Nintendo's prodigal son returning restore the ancestral household. And what I mean is that it looks like a bombastic console worth your money.

TheFlyingGerbil
Gotta give your Wii U its proper swan song. Unless the NX is Nintendo's prodigal son returning restore the ancestral household. And what I mean is that it looks like a bombastic console worth your money. I will be buying the nx at launch. If it's more powerful than the Wii u I'll buy the breath of the wild console bundle, if it is less powerful (i.e. Some sort of handheld device) I'll buy the Wii u version . Either way I'll have the game and the nx come March 2017. Edited June 20, 2016 by TheFlyingGerbil
Popular Post TheMightyEthan
Nintendo's insane if they think I'm buying another console of theirs anywhere near launch. They completely left me hanging with the WiiU, so they can take the NX and shove it up their collective ass.

TheMightyEthan
Yeah, there's a good chance I won't ever get one either.
toxicitizen
Personally, I'm just waiting to find out what it actually is before deciding whether I want one or not. Weird, I know!
TheMightyEthan
Well obviously. I'm just saying that pretty much no matter what it is I'm not buying it anytime soon after launch.
Mr. GOH!
I said the same thing after the N64 and I've stuck to it. Quite happy with my decision.

Mister Jack
I suppose I enjoyed my Wii U enough to justify the 200 I spent on it, but Nintendo has definitely been dropping the ball enough lately to make me hold off for a good while on the NX, whatever it is. It'll also take more to convince me this time than it did to make me buy the Wii U.
CorgiShinobi
So long as there isn't a special edition Zelda themed NX, I shouldn't have any second thoughts on holding off. That was the point when I got the Wii U, the Wind Waker HD bundle with custom Zelda themed GamePad.
