Strangelove
I was eyeing Mad Max on PSN, but I have a feeling that it'll be a $10 flash sale game before they year is over. I can wait. Not that $16 isn't a good price, but I don't have a lot of money right now.
CorgiShinobi
I got Payday 2 because some fellas at work said they play it and want me to join since I'll be away. GOTY Edition was $12.50, so okay.
MetalCaveman
That's the chess-like game, right? If so, let me know how it is! I've been really curious about it. I've played it for a bit and it's fun, though you have to create a Regicide account to play the game, overall, from what I've played so far, I wouldn't recommend it at full price, but on sale, if you enjoy chess and WH40K then yeah, go for it. toxicitizen
It's finally time for another round of the Nonary Game! For a while there, I was legit worried it would never come. Now to play it all day long!

TheMightyEthan
In accordance with my new 2-out-1-in backlog policy, after my 2 out (Dragon Commander and Shadowrun Returns) this is my 1 in. Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak
Mal
Subnautica I'm going in like how I did with The Long Dark: going by the word of mouth on how good the game is and going in blind so I can figure things out on my own for at least a dozen or two hours. Survival games are quite fun when done this way.
Mr. GOH!
I have also bought: FF XIII-2 and Lightning Returns Half-minute hero and its sequel Evoland and its sequel Silent Storm 35MM Enslaved Titan Souls The Last Remnant
TheMightyEthan
I wanted to like Titan Souls so bad, but from playing the demo I just couldn't stand how far back it set you after you died, it was tedious. If you make a game that's going to kill you that often don't make me walk for 30 seconds each time I do before I can try again.
toxicitizen
Think that should be it for me. There's more that I would've liked to grab but, combined with ZTD, that's probably more than I should've spent lol. Been waiting for good discounts on Transformers and Dragon Ball for a while now, so I couldn't resist. Subnautica was a bit of a gamble, though. I'm not usually big on survival games but this one looks really cool to me and the setting is a huge part of that. I've always been fascinated (and even a little creeped out) by underwater life, so this game has an appeal for me that other similar games simply don't have. I had a few more games in my cart but they were either pre-orders or brand new releases that had little to no discount, so they can wait a little longer. deanb
I carry on staring at Subnautica, but the other part of me stares at my current backlog too. In fact there's a lot of cool little games I've come across this summer sale. I should figure some system of making a list of "things to check back on in a few months when I've time/money(hah!)" that isn't just the Wishlist. TheMightyEthan
I kind of use "follow" that way on Steam. Interested, but not enough to put on a wishlist.
toxicitizen
Is that how follow is meant to be used? I mostly just ignore it because I don't want game updates cluttering up my activity feed. I figured it was meant for stuff you were really interested in rather than on the fence. I just put everything that catches my eye on my wishlist and clean it up (order stuff and remove whatever doesn't look interesting enough to keep) every once in a while. deanb
Yeah I use the activity feed a chunk, so Follow would be a totally useless function for me unless it's something I'm really into which would likely be something I either own, or is on my wishlist. For the "this looks kinda neat, lets see how this is in a few months" I don't need need every 0.92b 0.93b 0.94b updates in my feed.
Mr. GOH!
I hate using Follow, since then I get update notifications pushed to me while I'm watching netflix or working. Fuck that.
toxicitizen
Got a last minute urge to make a few more purchases last night, so I Iooked around for cheap stuff but ended up only grabbing a couple more. Cost me like 8 bucks for both. Heard good things about the room and it was like a dollar. I really need to get around to playing the Neptunia games, though. Idea Factory goes crazy with discounts, so it's hard not to grab their games. But I haven't touched any of them on Steam yet, just the first one on Vita a while back. deanb
I've gotten Room 1 n Room 2 on android and rather enjoyed them, a dollar is a pretty good price for em. They're not super long, and I'd guess the prettiness might be lost on PC (since used to much prettier things). But a nifty puzzle game. The Neptunia games I'd been sorta eyeing up as I heard they're kinda old-school FF type vibe (well.."old school" being pre-XIII really) but got other RPGs to enjoy (including FF games ) n tbh not super keen on the kind of cutesy anime style n other artistic attributes they apply to their games
toxicitizen
Yeah, you definitely need a very high tolerance for cutesy anime shit to enjoy the Neptunia games. If you find that stuff even remotely annoying, steer clear, those games aren't for you. If not, and if you also enjoy meta gaming humor a la Disgaea, then they might be worth a look. I'm not sure I see where the FF similarity comes from, though, as they are very basic RPGs and the story is told entirely through static portraits and text boxes like VNs. There's not even an overworld or anything like that, you go to places by selecting them on a world map and they're mostly small-ish dungeon-like maps that (at least in the first one) get a lot of reuse. Mainly, it's the combat system that I find most enjoyable in them. It's Trails-like where you run around (mostly) freely within the combat area and aim your attacks using visual indicators. Like, say your attack hits all enemies in a straight line of a certain width. Well, you're gonna want to position yourself to hit the enemies at just the right angle so that your attack will hit as many of them as possible. CorgiShinobi
So I did end up buying Borderlands The Pre-Sequel before the Summer Sale ended. Can't play it just yet. I was considering Firewatch as it is a chill type of game. My main concern is that it's a 6 hour adventure that you do once and done. The temptation to just watch it is there, but part of the experience is to interact with it yourself.
Popular Post Mister Jack
Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition System Shock: Enhanced Edition Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition I guess you could say I was looking to enhance my steam sale experience this year.

TheMightyEthan
Homeworld Remastered Collection I've been thinking about it continuously since I finished DoK, then I saw that it was on sale on WinGameStore for $12.25, then I found out there's a mod to tone down the enemy fleet scaling (which was my only real complaint with the originals) so I caved.
