Mal
Harvest Moon-like game comes to PC and everything points to this being good so I choose this as a low priced game to get. Beat out Super Hot. So this and Disgaea should keep me occupied for a while. inb4 this game is $25 for FLD. Edit: This game might be a productivity problem... toxicitizen
inb4 this game is $25 for FLD. $16.99, actually. I'm very tempted to get it. Problem is I've barely put any time in Disgaea and I have a big programming assignment to power through this week. But it looks so goooooood... deanb
I saw a tweet about this game this morning, concerning its save file being a raw XML, so you could easily nip into it using notepad (or editor of choice) and do bits up if you wished. toxicitizen
Couldn't resist. I only played for about an hour or so late last night but I can already tell that this game is going to be addictive in the same way Terraria was.

TCP
Damn Daniel! Back at it with those indie games! Couldn't resist. I only played for about an hour or so late last night but I can already tell that this game is going to be addictive in the same way Terraria was. Damn FLD (and Mal)! This is the first I've heard of this game but it looks right up my alley. Is there combat?? TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I fucking loved Harvest Moon on the SNES. I felt like none of the later incarnations lived up to it. Stardew Valley is ridiculously tempting.
Mal
Couldn't resist. I only played for about an hour or so late last night but I can already tell that this game is going to be addictive in the same way Terraria was. Damn FLD (and Mal)! This is the first I've heard of this game but it looks right up my alley. Is there combat?? Yup. It's basic as in sword swings of Link to the Past. At the moment, I am unaware of any other weapons. While basic, I find it kind of hard once you get past fighting slimes. One reason is that I find combat a bit clunky with M+KB so you'll have to be slow-ish and deliberate in your actions. I haven't tried it yet but it might be easier to fight with a gamepad since with using the mouse, there is a disconnect between where your mouse cursor is and where you swing if it happens to be behind your character. It shouldn't be the case with a gamepad. With that all said, combat is limited to the mines. This game is great in that you could in theory ignore the mines and combat. You can farm your way into wealth and just buy all the ore and metal you need. I wager that you could do the opposite as well and just mine and ignore farming. At the moment, I'm having trouble paying attention to my farm, mine, town and friendships all at once.
TCP
Damn, looks great, it's fully released or early access?? I patiently await the PS4 version.
toxicitizen
Full release and, as far as I can tell, there's been no talk of a console release whatsoever. This is made by just one guy, so if a console release ever happens, I'd assume it's unlikely to be anytime soon.

Mister Jack
This is a game that should be able to run on a potato, though, so unless you just plain don't own a PC I don't see the need to wait for a port. That said, I wouldn't count a port out just yet if this game takes off and becomes a runaway hit, which seems likely at the moment. Sony has been pretty good about keeping their eye on hot new indie releases and I wouldn't be surprised if they start courting the developer.
Mr. GOH!
Does it have controller support? That's usually a good indication of how eager a dev may be to get Sony (or maybe Nintendo's????) eye.
toxicitizen
It does but it's a bit weird. The interface is a bit like Terraria, so it's very mouse-driven. You're basically controlling the cursor with the joystick, which I don't think works particularly well.
Mal
I gave it a whirl and yeah, the menus are all cursor driven so it's best to play with KB+M. Normal gameplay though is not really affected since you can just go old school and face every plant or rock you want to interact with... but I can see it helping with combat (it really becomes Zelda-like) but since you can switch control method on a fly, I can just switch to gamepad if I get swarmed by flies again. So yeah, if the dev can make the menus navigable on a gamepad, I can see this game getting ported to consoles. With that said, an additional improvement the dev could do is to tie where the mouse cursor is to where the character is looking. Interactions will make you face that way. In the case of the gamepad, the right stick can allow you to interact with things diagonal from you. It would in a sense bring the gamepad up to parity with KB+M. With how the game visual is ran, it wouldn't look weird at all.
danielpholt
It's my Birthday today, so I've treated myself to three games I've been holding off on getting since release. All on PC.
deanb
FFXIII Lighting Returns on PC in the SE Steam Sale. Had some pennies stocked up too, so works out at £3. Wrap up the trilogy.
Hot Heart
Figured I'd check to see if I could pick up The Uncharted Collection on the (very) cheap, so I went on eBay. I saw a few auctions about to end in 10-20 minutes, with people clearly pushing the totals up past £15-16 before postage (I could find it new for £20 inc. P&P) but I also spotted one about to end in 10 minutes, 0 bids, £10.00. So I put in a slightly higher bid just in case and went uncontested anyway. Nice! Mister Jack
Got it for 36 bucks. Thanks for the tip, Daniel.
Baconrath
For Threedy Ess: Megaman Legacy CollectionChibi-Robo! Zip Lash (sans amiibo)Unfortunately I noticed a little bit of slowdown while playing Cutman's stage. I mean it doesn't play like complete ass, but it's noticeable. And as being one of the few people who bought Chibi-Robo on the Gamecube I found Zip Lash for cheap but declined the boxed version with the amiibo. Everyone in Chibi-Robo sounds like they are saying complete gibberish into a fan and its silly.(Seriously GCN Chibi-Robo is like ~$60 used on Amazon)
Mister Jack
Impulse buy from that deal I mentioned in the other thread.
SomTervo
Just decided to go for it because the Open Beta gelled with me so well. 10 hours later, I'm loving it. Seriously great loot-based action RPG. It's like Diablo: The Third Person Shooter. Any of y'all want to join me, add me on UPlay: Som_Tervo. PS Destiny can go suck a fuck Edited March 11, 2016 by SomTervo

TheFlyingGerbil
Mario and Luigi Dream Team (Bros.) was in an Amazon lightening deal and it is supposed to be one of the good Marino RPGs which people seem to think are a bit hit or miss. Loved the reaction to the new one on Wii u which only had a thirty second clip but Seems to have been written off by the public at large. I. Thought it looked charming.
