Hot Heart
Some pre-orders And I guess I'm learning how to play Heroclix.
CorgiShinobi
I got it as a My Nintendo reward, so for free. I've played and liked a couple of the games in the series but not this one and all the money off vouchers were for games I already have, even the especially for you ones, so I'm not sure how well tailored they are to me personally. I personally love WarioWare Touched. It's very nostalgic and I played the game for a good while. Of course, it was the very first WarioWare I played, but the style and frantic nature of completing the "microgames" was very appealing to me. Can't believe the game is already a decade old.
toxicitizen
Now I just have The Evil Within, Fallout 4, Alien Isolation, Gravity Rush Remastered and Tearaway(PS4) to get through. The Evil Within and Alien Isolation are both fucking great. You should play those.
TheMightyEthan
I also have Alien Isolation sitting on my backlog. I've kind of been holding off until my wife goes to visit her family, because I feel like it's a game that would benefit from being played mostly at night, and when she's out of town is the only time I get extended night gaming opportunities. At night, yeah, and if you have good headphones, definitely use them. The game has fantastic sound design. I almost never use my headphones for games but I played this one entirely with them. TheMightyEthan
I always use my headphones because the alternative where my consoles are hooked up is to use my TV speakers and they SUUUUUUUUUCK. Also they had a delay of about 1/4 of a second that I didn't realize I could fix until recently, which was really really annoying.
Hot Heart
Another pre-order. Guess I'm buying video games this year, too. I actually get this free on PC, but my PC is rubbish and I might be able to play with my usual PS4 friends.
TheMightyEthan
Dishonored 2. I was just waiting for a release date before I jumped.
toxicitizen
Man, that PC port sure was a long time coming. I still remember hearing so much praise about the game when it first came out on XBLA and then the complete silence for years surrounding the PC version. As a huge Metroidvania fan, I'm really looking forward to finally playing it.
Strangelove
Let me know how it is. I've always wanted to play it. I'm curious if it's more Metroid than Igavania. So many games try, but none have scratched that Igavania itch for me.
toxicitizen
Well, an hour into it and so far it definitely feels more Metroid than Vania to me. But the only Castlevania of that style I actually played is Symphony of the Night, and I'm not sure whether that qualifies as Igavania. I'm assuming that by Igavania you mean that it has some light RPG elements? If so, there's none of that here. It's all exploration, shooting and backtracking for hidden pick-ups when you get new items/abilities. Also, the protagonist is basically Nathan Drake. And he doesn't just kinda look like him (half-tuck and everything), he's also voiced by Nolan North, who makes zero effort to sound any different. It's kind of distracting and hilarious at the same time. Edited May 4, 2016 by FLD
Mister Jack
It was $9.99 on GOG. They're having an adventure game sale this weekend. What the hell. It was $8.39 and I hear this one is pretty good. Edited May 6, 2016 by Mister Jack
TheFlyingGerbil
I bought a couple of games in the xbox indie event. Nice they had decent reductions even without GOLD. Remembered the D4 game when I saw it in the store, and heard interesting things at the time. Shame it sounds like it didn't do well enough to continue the story on to season 2. The other 2 I'd not heard of, and while they only have average reviews sounded like they were worth the low asking price to give them a go. toxicitizen
To coincide with the announcement that Ace Attorney 6 is being localized, all the Ace Attorney games are on sale on the eShop. I'm still a few games behind but fuck it, I plan on being caught up in time for AA6's release in September so I might as well grab Dual Destinies now. edit: When I found out it would be 30$, I figured it'd end up being like 40$ over here and that I'd have to skip it for now. Turns out it's much cheaper than that and has a 20% launch discount, which brings it down to almost half the price I actually expected, so I couldn't resist. I'm glad this should be the last major FF release on Steam for a while, though. I can't help myself and buy them all as soon as they come out but I haven't actually played any of them since XIII-2. So, I kinda have a bit of a Final Fantasy backlog here. I should probably play this one or IX soon... Edited May 12, 2016 by FLD

Mal
While the multiplayer is being shit on, word is that the single player is awesome. Some gameplay footage later and I think I am convinced. I got it for 20% off by the way.

Mister Jack
FINALLY this game went on sale again. I had 12 bucks in steam credit left over too so I only had to pay around 12 dollars out of my own pocket.

toxicitizen
I heard there was a flash sale on PSN, so I had a look to see if there was anything good on sale for Vita. Ended up buying this for PS3 instead Better late than never, I suppose. Couldn't say no at five bucks. No idea when I'll play it, though, as that would require actually turning on my PS3. TheMightyEthan
It takes like 2 hours to play through, so it's not like there's a big time investment.
toxicitizen
Yeah, I'll probably try to do it in one sitting. Maybe later tonight, if I don't have anything better to do.
