danielpholt
Lifebar.io I know a few of you are into game tracking/logging, and I think Lifebar might be right up your alley. It's a sort of Letterboxd meets Darkardia for gaming. You can log what games you've played, assign a score to the experience you had whilst playing the game and write a small blurb about the game itself. Log enough info and you'll eventually start to get detailed graphs about your time gaming. I don't do a fantastic job of explaining it, so here's the LINK. Ideally, I'd like to see them enhance their game reviewing angle. I've been looking for something that allows me to right reviews, rate and like games for a while now, and whilst I can do that here, I wish they'd take it further and really drive to become what Letterboxd is for games. TheMightyEthan
Looks interesting, I'll have to keep an eye on it. The problem with moving to new sites is that I have all this old data on other sites already...
TheMightyEthan
Did you ever end up signing up for that? I need people to follow besides just the "personalities" it automatically hooked me up with.
TheMightyEthan
On second thought, I don't know that I'll really be using the site much at all anyway. I think Exophase and Darkadia have me covered. T-t-t-triple post!

Not sure on my username, I'd assume it's Danielpholt. I'm hoping they expand on the amount of characters you can use to write up your experience. 140 simply isn't gonna cut it. Let me use your service as a place to write my views on games, and I'll be sold on it. Never heard of Exophase. Is that another logger? Rewphus
Hey guys, I hope you don't mind me dropping in, but I noticed some Lifebar traffic coming from this site so I thought I would check it out. I'm the lead designer of Lifebar and would love to get more of your feedback if you are willing to share. In fact, I already have an instance of Ghost up and running, but now I'm just working on ways to integrate it with Lifebar so it is not too jarring to use. We didn't want to simply just expand the character count without providing the publishing tools to properly draft and format your thoughts. I will be completely honest though, most of our users are actually asking for the 140 character summary to be optional, so we might have to tackle that request before we can implement increasing the summary capabilities. I would love to get your input as we develop that functionality though. We would love to implement ways where you could import your existing data from another system in to Lifebar, but many systems don't allow export, or the formats are not standard enough for us to easily develop for. You mentioned Exophase and Darkadia. It looks like Exophase is more of an integrated solution for recent play history, gamercards, etc... We would love to integrate third parties like Steam, PSN, and Xbox Live, but other than Steam, without some sort of third party agreement, they can be very difficult to rely on, so we have currently put that on the back burner. I don't think we will be able to wait on that much longer though. Darkadia seems much more like a traditional cataloging service. Do you happen to know if they have any way for you to export your catalog? Sorry for all of the questions, just really trying to make Lifebar something that is as accessible as possible, but not lose our initial focus of delivering something that's much more than a catalog service, but instead a visual representation of your lifetime with games. TheMightyEthan
Darkadia lets you export your library as a CSV file.
Rewphus
Good to know. I will have to check it out and see what we can do with their exports. If we were to allow some kind of importing functionality, you think that would increase your chances of using the app, or without third party integration, is it too much to keep up with? TheMightyEthan
It would definitely increase it, I already enter new information manually on Darkadia. It's just right now the prospect of manually entering all of my back data is daunting, and my other option is just to start over from scratch.
