TheMightyEthan
Me too. I think part if it is that I don't like the DS3 as much as the 360 controller. There was actually a 360 controller imitator for the PS3 that I almost bought, but it doesn't support rechargeable batteries.
StrifeROKs
I thought about buying one with a chord once, but then I realized I don't have games Id play

This thing was a lifesaver last gen for me:   it'd be nice if there was something similar this gen.  maybe I should try that transforming 360 controller.    also on topic.  Pokemon. any of them.
CorgiShinobi
Man, some of the broad categories here. I mean, everyone has their choice, but I don't think I can really say a first-party lineup or console is out of question for my tastes. Â I am however relieved at how many others have my same, as it were, "disinterest" in popular games. Â I would have to say God of War and Uncharted are my two biggest offenders. I've never cared for God of War after the first, and even with the first game I wasn't that into it. I know a lot of people tell me to try Uncharted, that back when the PS3 library was slim pickings, Uncharted was a shining light of brilliance. Â As for others: -Pokemon Black/White (Didn't get Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, bought Diamond and while it was fine, I do believe I'm beyond Pokemon now. Don't hate it, just can't be bothered anymore.) -Minecraft -World of Warcraft -Gears of War -Grand Theft Auto (Vice City was the last I played, but I've never been drawn to the series.) Â I will give Mass Effect 2 a shot on PS3, but I've never thought I was really missing out.
Strangelove
People wont play games on entire consoles now? Eesh. That's sad. Â I understand not liking a genre, but judging things based on what console theyre on is ridiculous. It's not even subconscious fanboyism, its just straight up fanboyism. deanb
Good thing no one did that then. Â Smooves nicely already pulled them out: All Nintendo games. Â Every first-party Sony franchise. Â Those are pretty broad strokes. Do these include SMB3, LoZ:LttP, ICO and SotC?
mintycrys
In my case, it's just sheer luck that none of the first-party games I've been interested in (or just don't like) have all appeared on Sony's consoles. It's like divine providence has seen fit to lump them all into one category for easier stereotyping! Â I like nearly all of Nintendo first-party franchises, I like a few of Microsoft's first-party franchises (Gears, Alan Wake, Halo maybe sorta), and I really only sort of like one of Sony's (Uncharted, even if I still think the first one is better than the second one). Â People need to stop looking at others' tastes in games and automatically assume that "IF a game is from company 'X,' THEN they don't like it." Could it possibly be that "a game is from company 'X,' AND they don't like it"? Â Also, I lol'd: Â People wont play games on entire consoles now? Eesh. That's sad. Â I understand not liking a genre, but judging things based on what console theyre on is ridiculous. It's not even subconscious fanboyism, its just straight up fanboyism. Faiblesse Des Sens
You people sure do dislike a lot of games/genres. Do you not enjoy video games? Â Anyways, I have no interest in MMOs (more so for the time required to make it worthwhile more than the actual gameplay experience.) I am not interested in Minecraft either since I don't really have the time to devote to it. There's plenty of games I have no interest in buying but don't have a problem with playing such as Black Ops.
deanb
For me Horror/Survival, Sports, flying games, movie games. Not much actually, I'm open to trying most things. Primarily time and money that stops me.
Shadowstep
I like playing games. If something is scripted and it doesn't matter what I do, then I'm not really playing, am I? That rules out COD for me. I guess it also rules out MGS with it's outrageously long cutscenes. Basically any game where I can set the controller down and still make progress, I don't like. Holy hell. Not that like, you need to like those games in order to be considered a competent gamer, but what is your beef with games like Zelda, Mass Effect and Fallout 3? Or do you not like Fallout 3 because of your previously stated hatred for FPS's? I could understand that, especially since Fallout 3 is such a broken shooter. Thank God for VATS. RadiantViper
Any RTS (Starcraft, C&C). I'm sure they're fine games in their own right, but they make me feel dumb.
Mister Jack
Actually a friend of mine won't shut the fuck up about how I need to play Company of Heroes, even though I keep telling him that I don't like RTS games and probably never will because they're just not fun to me. Sorry, but I don't like their gameplay style.
